I knew this was going to happen. Your pocket book empty, but your bags heavy. What an exciting trip this is. Lovely picture of you and Jenny
She is just as friendly and truly down to earth just what you'd expect. I told her after the show about my quilt I just embroidered and she loved the story. She said 50 years from now someone would 'read' it and know about our family, such a treasure she said.
Oh! you are so fortunate to be able to meet with one of my all time favourite quilters. I do hope you let her know that an Aussie from Newcastle just loves her videos etc. Enjoy the rest of your trip Toogie. Looking like it's great so far. Love Chris
Jenny and her husband were setting up and I had a front row seat so, i being friendly, was talking to her and gave her your message- She said for someone in our group to take our picture. I didn't realize I had MY phone in my hand. Thank goodness Kathy was ready!!!
You look so good Toogie. I am jealous (lol) Almost been a yr now sine we all met in Birmingham.
Thanks so much for posting and sharing your story. It is wonderful that you get to go to these fun places and purchase your next quilt! Have more fun and I will look forward to the next chapter of your excursion.
We went to The Presley's Country Jubilee show last night. These first 2 are during intermission and the second two are 'Cecil' after the show when he came on our bus. Everyone said they had a ball and had never laughed so much. Great comedians.
Today we got into Hamilton at Missouri Star Quilt and here is what I bought. Two layer cakes, enough charm packs for a queen quilt, and 2 books. She gave all of us large zipper tote, a fat quarter, a phamplet pattern, and a MSQC key chain. I also got free the Colorado pattern and a black charm pack with my purchase.
I can't tell you how many beautiful quilts are in each shop! Tomorrow we go back for an hour shopping for last minute things before seeing Jenny at the Methodist Church for the trunk show. I hope we get to visit with her afterwards!!!
Oh and the last pic is a panel I bought to make a wildlife quilt. I actually bought 2 to make at Quilts and Quilts yesterday.
I will update as I can. Toogie
Wow, that would be fun indeed. I hope you have a wonderful trip and come back laden! Love Chris
You two look wonderful! Have a great time at the Cow!
Have a wonderful time! But then, who wouldn't have a great time shopping for fabric from one of the largest quilting stores!
Looks like you're having a great time! Try to save some fabric for the other folks at the Quilted Cow LOL!
I carried a quilt kit around the whole time there and then didn't get it . I didn't want to buy too quick at the first place and find something better later.
