Hi spendlove - where you live you must have a brilliant ALDI. I have never come across anything like that. I live in Southbourne, Bournemouth, UK
Lucky you. Antje
I love your quilt, it is just stunning.
Hope you don't mind if I ask a question about the fabric from Aldi and Ikea, can we Aussie's buy fabric from these stores here in Australia ???
The Fat Quarters that Aldi have here are special buys. To my knowledge they have only had them once. Pretty good quality and priced ok. Sorry I can't remember what I paid for a bundle all I know is it wasn't expensive. Just keep checking the catalogues.
As for Ikea Yes you can buy fabric from them. The one Sue used and I use a lot is called Ditte you can check on line it sells for $4.99 Aust. At Ikea you have to measure and cut it yourself then get an assistant to weigh it and put a price sticker on it for the checkout person.
You've won me with the black and white! Great job Sue and well done for including a video of it all. Love Chris
Love your quilt, looks like a Hoop Sister design. Great job on it.
Thank you for sharing, Happy Stitching :~)
Your great color placement of fabric really added depth to this wonderful quilt! The black in this quilt makes the blocks stand out so nicely. Love it!
Love, love, love the result. Now I hope you will create a video.
How many FQ in a pack? You used 3 packs for front and back each?
Awesome
There is a set of videos for the central blocks and the one with diagonal lines is very straight forward.
Very nice...and thank you for showing the back! What is the finished size? I know you joined the blocks together ITH, but were the rows pieced on the sewing machine or in the hoop too?
All in the hoop except adding the border. I used a very light wadding so it wasn't too difficult to maneuver.
