What fun! Great job on these, Deb...I hope she has a little play kitchen she can "cook" all of these goodies in!
Thanks, Kim! Shhhh Santa's bringing her a play kitchen for Christmas, so these should get some playtime.
When I first saw your photo, I thought...why is she taking a photo of her dinner? Silly me. I have no clue how you made those carrot tops. These are very creative and will encourage children to like to play with their vegetables...and eat them for dinner!
LOL, it does look pretty realistic, doesn't it? The carrot tops are made with this yarn I found at AC Moore that is meant to be crocheted into dish scrubbers. I just looked like carrot tops to me the minute I saw it! Thanks for your kind words.
well I think we all know what you've been doing for the last month or so....A stunning effort to say the least!
My goodness, what a lot of sewing in all of these foodstuffs Deb. They look amazing. Your grandchild will be blown away. Hours of fun to be had with all of these. You can teach colours, shapes, textures and the value of good eating. Well done, it's an awesome collection. Love Chris
Thanks so much, Chris! I'm sure she'll come up with all kinds of play. At the moment she enjoys pretend grocery shopping, hence the pink basket in the back to put all her purchases in.
Wow!!!Great work done..Awesome designs!!!Well done...
I love how these turned out!!!! Love the scrubby yarn for the carrot tops. The kids are going to have a great time. Awesome job!
This is just incredible. Looks so real. Very clever
Thanks, Sarah! I had a lot of fun making it and trying to come up with materials that would look realistic - the carrot tops is a "scrubber" yarn. Feels kinda rubbery but it sure looks good.
Yum, yum. Looks good enough to eat. I believe it will bring many hours of playtime'
All i can say is amazing. Wonderful job, plus one very happy grandchild.
That pie is making me hungry. All your food looks delicious
What a lovely idea. I am sure this will be hours of fun for her to play with.
Worth all the work you put into it.
How much fun will this be, you need a waitress pad to go with it for orders from the family!
What time is dinner?-lol
I LOVE them all! Love the Thanksgiving turkey, too!!!
I made my Nora some felt 'food' 4 years ago for Christmas and she still plays with hers. Your little one will love them!
Thanks, Toogie! One thing for sure, this meal may not have any vitamins but it has plenty of fiber! LOL!
Oh, yes - now this is adorable!!! What child wouldn't just love this. It shows a lot of work (of love!). So ready for fun! Hugs, Laura
Thanks, Laura! Yep, hours and hours of the machine humming away. Let's hope she'll play with it at least as long as it took to make it!
