thank you for the warning, probably could happen quite easily
I never minced leek with my embroidery machine!!
j'ai déjà eu ce problème mais je m'en suis aperçu rapidement
Seeing that there are 2 different thread colours you would think you would notice it happening after the first spool of thread ran out and you haven't sewn anything.
I have had my machine eat my fabric but never the thread LOL
I know embroidery machines are hungry but I also did not think you could get a mess like this without knowing.
Oh dear, what a mess. Hope it cleaned completely now
I have had this happen to me with metallic thread....fortunately, I was able to pull off the wheel and clear the tangle...
Has happened to me but never ever like that. I noticed immediately and cleaned it out myself. Yes, I was using a thread stand by the machine.
And don't they tell you to place the thread stand on the right side of the machine???? I'd love to see what she (or he) was sewing.
Wow! What a mess. I can't imagine not noticing this happening. Thanks for posting the warning!
I used to work in a store which did sewing machine repairs and it is surprising how often a machine would come in with this problem. The thread accumulates very quickly when the machine is running even if you notice quite soon what is happening, though not as much as in the picture.
Yes I also used to work in a sewing store. The boss would often show me things like this. One lady refused to pay to have thread taken out from around the wheel as the chap that sold her the machine said it was guaranteed for things like this. Under the bobbin plate was another bad area.
What!!! I can't imagine this was not noticed.
One would think you would realise something was wrong before it got to this state.
That is amazing! I would have thought that the person sewing would have noticed the machine making a funny noise! Love Chris
Its happened to me when using the large spools on a stand don't notice till the sound is funny, the brother emb. machines, you can just pull the wheel cover off, thank goodness...wendy
Oh my goodness. What a mess. Good advise to keeping threads far away from the wheel.
