My daughter has to wear a name tag that's on a reel badge, and she would like for me to make her some covers for the reel. It's about an inch in diameter. How can I reduce some of the gazillion designs I have to fit on a 1" patch? I have PE Design Next, but I don't know how to reduce the size and prevent it from being over-dense. Thank you.

I agree with others that trying reduce a design that much will not work successfully. Some sites have minature designs. I know that From The Needle of Anne has some small stuff. Or, look for earring designs.

I have not done either of those things . Thank you so much I'll start my search on that soon.

I think you'd be better off and happier with the results if you can find some miniature designs. I have discovered that reducing even small designs ends up looking like a blob of thread!

I ended up with a blob instead of a snowman for one design, and I think I learned my lesson. Thanks!

Look in the alphabet on your machine. Each alpha has numbers and I bet you will find a 1" alpha in the listing there. You can also reduce the density when you start the alpha; the density sign comes if I am correct.
You can also reduce the size by clicking from "L" to "M" to "S".
We are so used to just downloading alphas and numbers that we forget our machine has a few! I know I forget. Good luck.

Thanks. I do forget about the built in ones at times.

I'd stay with a simple initial or something in that line. There are very few designs that can go from 4x4 to 1x1 with being a mess.

thanks. I'm coming to that realization after making a couple of messes
