They have still turned out beautifully Karen.
Our Jasana and Aqualina are having photos taken for their Dance Academy today from 8.00 till 1.00. There are hundreds of girls in the group and they all have to have their different costumes on, individual shots and their group shots etc.
Next Saturday night is their concert at the Griffith Duncan Theatre at Newcastle Uni. I go every year and it's a fantastic concert.
Love Chris
Good luck for their concert. I love helping backstage but love it when I get to watch too. Love seeing what the kids have been learning and working on. It is a great atmosphere
What an encouraging comment from the dance teacher! They really are nicely stitched out.
I hardly ever get outlines to stitch out properly, but I keep trying to get them perfect. Sometimes, if they are really really bad, I take them to my sewing machine and just fill the area in very carefully. I know that some people use markers. The problem I have with that is if I don't have the exact color, it looks awful. These outlines may not be as perfect as you want, but no one wll notice except you!
A Big WOW!!!!Stunning design ..You did a Fantastic job...Gorgeous
You did a great job with these adding the crystals....this is the very reason I don't always add outlines to my designs....there are so many variables that can happen when designs are stitched out, hooping, stabilizers and every machine acts differently too, so I just choose to not add outlines unless absolutely necessary.....I have some ballet dancers and I added shadows to the background of the dancers, with all the movement in the design I didn't dare add outlines.....Again, we are our own worst critics and I think you did a great job on these....
They look lovely seems we are the ones who notice our faults and nit pick ourselves.
The girls would have looked great in the shirts.
Nice that the Teacher asked about your work. Just remember to put a deadline date on work wanted for Christmas or you will be burning the midnight oil to get things finished.
Thank you. I have already had to let people know I am not available after a certain date. I have been receiving requests close to midnight, which i do not respond to until a civilised hour the next day.
I can relate to your scrutiny of designs that are not digitized as well as we would like...a shame that some of the outlines are off...and the fill looks like it does not have enough underlay....I can see why they would stand out under the lights...crystals were a nice touch...
I was short on time when I needed to do these for this year which is why I tried to get away with designs I already had. There were so many things wrong with these designs but I figured in the lights backstage the problems would not be noticed by the untrained eye, and they weren't! I will digitise something along similar idea before the next concert and make sure I am not not in a rush
