Sorry you had all that noise. Around here the firecracker noise was from afar.
Ever since I have been doing work for a dog rescue center I have been put off fireworks for life. When I hear of the terrible things that happen to animals (mainly dogs) when fireworks are let off it has changed my way of thinking.
I have always thought they were a total waste of money and as a child I hated them. They are banned here where I live in S. Africa but still a few were heard over the holiday period. ☹️😢
Thanks and a very happy birthday to you and your loved ones. I hope you managed to get some sleep.
In my town, fireworks are better than gun shots. They do sound the same with a blanket of snow on the ground.
No fireworks around here. Most everybody went to church, called " watch night" They play games young and old, eat, all the bedding musicians perform, eat again, lol. Simply a fun time 'till midnight, then all don party hats and blow whistles , then go home to bed.. Me I did not go, tired from being with daughter, but day by day she is showing improvement . Still unable to eat and extremely weak but not going backwards.
I am so sorry that you have neighbors like that. I just hope mine will behave. My German Shepherd turns into a lap dog when she hears fireworks or thunder. 4th of July is a nightmare for her and me. I love organized firework. It is so beautiful when it is in the hand of the experts.
Happy New Year
Whatever the neighbourhood does I hope it doesn't disturb you too much Betsey. Happy New Year to you.
Here in New South Wales if you purchase firecrackers without a licence there are huge fines. Last year on Australia Day if anyone was caught with them, without a licence, there was a $27,000Aud fine!!!
Love Chris
Wow! I think it's about $100 here, but I'm not trying it. $27,000 sounds like they caught the person with a bomb. No wonder life in Oz seems more orderly than here. Happy New Year, Chris.
