Years ago I bought some expensive scissors which turned out to be too heavy ,so I ended up buying a smaller pair. Now I can not find the heavy pair. Also on the missing list is the ball of cord used for making Roman blinds .As well as my sewing note book with all sorts of measurements which is hiding somewhere in my sewing room.Have wasted hours looking for this book, noticed it was missing 2 days after I last used it.
Husband has lost things too.
I think we all seem to forget where we put things. I seem to be always looking for something. I cannot find my way around in my new sewing room of 2 years. Maybe if I could spend a little moretime in there I may get familiar with it.
I save all my embroidery designs on one just because I afraid of my old laptop crashing. I want to burn them on to CD's so I have them. Will get to that one day. Happy Stitching
At the beginning of every year I burn all my designs onto a DVD even though every month or two they are copied onto a external hard drive.DVDs don't crash & die like computers & external hard drives & USB sticks
Yes it is time I burnt all mine to either a CD or DVD. As you say they don’t crash.
It's been in a very safe place all these years!! Even safe from you! LOL !We all do it, I'm sure, I know I have!

You know those teeny tiny little dongles that come with the programming for the Viking machines? Yup....misplaced one of those. I finally had to break down and buy another one. Found the first one a year or so later. I lost sleep over that I can tell you. Made me sick!
They are so easy to lose. I also bought another external hard drive but it did’nt make me find the lost one any faster. I had given up on ever finding it.
I have done this and it's driving me crazy. I was working on a wedding quilt when we were packing in May 2014 and you can probably guess what happened! The bride-to-be has been married about 5 years and has a 3-year-old and one on the way, but no wedding quilt.
You will get it finished for them one day. I am sure it will be worth the wait.
I am so happy for you. I friend of mine has ‘put’ some jewelry in a special place. It is now a year and she still hasn’t found the missing stach.
Ha ha ha Shirley, I think we all suffer from the same problem! Glad you have found it again. I love looking at old "new" designs! Love Chris
P.S. Keep searching you may find other goodies hiding away!!!
Yes you never know what I might find next. He He. Must have been there for 9-10 years we have worked out. Just goes to show I don’t need that top if I haven’t wanted to wear it in that time.
Hurray! I'm great at moving things and then wondering where I put the items, so I understand. Now enjoy checking out your old designs that are new again.
Congratulations! I can't begin to count the number of times I have lost things that I put away "in a safe place"! Enjoy all those "new" designs on the external!
It happens to me all the time. I seem to be looking for something most days. he he he
That is to funny. I feel the same way when I organize my sewing room. I can not remember where I organized it to.
I know the feeling. I am still finding my way in the new sewing room. Great to find the hard drive after so long though.
Great news....and now you have the fun of all of these "new" designs to look at and create with!
I am sure I have all the designs, but will interesting to see just what I had backed up that was so important.
Well congratulations on finding this again. Now you will have fun all over again seeing the contents. I too am still finding stuff from when we moved.
