Hello Cuties! I am so happy to get these made today. I just love this little oregonpatchwork flower design I added to the front, of the ITH Holder, from dragonflyer. It looks good in any color. I have 14 made so far so I just need 31 more...or not. I thought about giving 8 or 10 away Thursday, not sure how many women there are, to a group of ladies that quilt for Quilts of Valor. if I do I will almost have to start over :(

The Quilts of Valor ladies will present my husband and 3 more veterans quilts on Thursday, for their service. I know they don't expect anything in return, and this is not much, so what do you think? Give them a little token of appreciation or not? I wouldn't want to insult them, as I know this does not compare to the work they put in the quilt.
I am also making chicken salad sandwiches and a cake. My niece that I travel with, is making a blueberry pound cake and wrapped sausage links. I'm not sure what else we will make, but we wanted to provide some finger foods for the ladies lunch that day. The presentation is at 10 am.
Let me know what you think. It sure won't hurt my feelings any. Have a good day-Toogie

Great job on these Toogie and I like the idea of putting the initials of QOV on them too and I think the ladies would love them. It's so different to quilting.
I'm with Barbara on the food thing. I'm an allergy person and I can't eat a lot of foods so I always love a great fruit platter! Good luck with it all. Love Chris

I vote for giving them a token of your appreciation...just thinking out loud...have you thought of putting QOV on them to honor their participation in Quilts of Valor? I think that would great...and meaningful to all of them. Just spitballing here....I looked at their website and lots of things just have the initials QOV...You could do them in Red and Blue.

...and if you have any white vinyl, that would be perfect...or a white star quilt block shape with QOV in red or blue...I would be happy to help with the digitizing if you decide this is what you might like to do...

Personally I would give them the little gift you have made it is always nice to be appreciated and if there are a lot of people there in a crowd one person may not be thanked and feel missed out. This way all will go home with a fuzzy nice feeling that someone cares.
As for food I am not a Vegetarian but have been to things at the School years ago and have seen Women who couldn't find anything to eat as no one thought about them. Even if it is as simple as Carrot sticks and the like.
OOPS almost forgot your items are lovely.

These flowers are divine. They have such rich looking colors. I'm sorry I can't give advice on finger foods or luncheon items. I do neither of these things which is a pity. Not unless I am with my homemaker ladies so I am clueless.

We have finger foods at church sometimes and I'm always at a loss. I rather cook something...The flower is from oregonpatchworks but I can't tell you which digitizer. A pity, as it is a great little flower.
