Great! You are such a giving lady.
I know I am blessed and if I can give, I do. This group and now another group has invited me to join. I would love to but feel like now is not the right time. Have you heard the saying, 'the straw that broke the camels back'? I feel if I try to take on anything else right now, I will have to get someone else to feed and water my husband!-lol
Fabulous job, ladies! I'm sure the quilters will be thrilled with their gifts!
Perfect - great job Kim and wonderful stitching and color choice Toogie!!! Hugs to both of you! Laura
They will all love them for sure And yes Kim is so great to help us all ..hugs
Toogie, I have had the same problem sewing them together. No matter what I done I could not get one made. The tab was too short. Then too long. The wrong sanitizer. After 2 days I finally gave up. Kudos to you. They look great and Kim done a beautiful designs for you.
The ones I tried to sew, not embroider were a problem.
These are much better, but you have to have the right bottle, for the design or the right design, for your bottles.
When I had a problem getting an ITH one to fit, working with Kim, we realized that she was making a design for her bottle, which was a 1 oz. I was trying to fit my 2 oz, in the holder. Even though we had both bought bottles at the same chain of stores, we had not realized until then, our size bottles were same price but different ounces. After, that was realized, problem was solved.
They are Sew going to like these. They will be able to put on their quilted bags they always have.
Great job and many thanks to Kim for helping you !
What a fabulous job you have done Toogie. Your husband will be so surprised and congratulations to Kim too. Love Chris
I get so aggravated with him sometimes Chris!
I have been keeping this secret since before Christmas, when one of the ladies called to say they had pieced him a top and it was being sent to the long arm quilter. He came into my sewing room yesterday, before I heard him. I just flipped the holders over, but I know he saw the vinyl.... I can not surprise him with anything, because he's stuck to me like glue!..I didn't say anything and can't even remember what he did come in here for.
He did ask me what I was making these sandwiches for. I just said, "Something is going on at Eraine's church and I told her I would help her fix something and don't let me forget when we go to town, to go by Dollar Tree." I hurried and changed the subject before he could think too much-lol
Now, to get him to put a nice shirt on, without getting suspicious. I loathe Tee shirts. ...I need to tell you about a dream I had, you would get a good laugh!
No problem getting him to go with me Thursday, he wants to go EVERYWHERE with me since we retired! ...now you know why I go with Eraine on all those trips! I love him.I love my kids. I love my grandkids. I just don't need to be with them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!!! I gotta BREATHE-lol
I would love to do the key fobs for the Bee-Sew-Brave gals in my Quilt Guild who do Quilts of Valor. Does Kim have the QOV design posted anywhere we can get it?
Thanks for Thanking the ladies and Thank you husband for serving.
Sue
So glad you appreciate Toogie's projects...just to be clear, this is not representative of any specific logo for QOV. This is simply a traditional quilt star with lettering. This was done specifically to honor the work of the ones presenting a quilt to Toogie's husband.
Sue, I really appreciate all the time and work these ladies put into these quilts. I just wanted to give something back, to just let them know. Kim was kind enough to put a star and the letters on a holder and fob, she had previously digitized.
I also wanted to say I had never heard of Bee Sew Brave so I tried to google and see what the organization was about, but could not locate anything. Can you tell us more about this group, please?
Bee-Sew-Brave is the group in my Quilt Guild that makes Quilts for Quilts of Valor. I think most guilds have Bees that each stitch their style, Modern or 30's or in this case quilts for our legions of Vets... QOV.
