Lovely selecton Angie! Don't you just feel happy when you see what you made?
I love to knit and crochet. It's so easy (once you learned how-to), it's relaxing, and never boring as you can play with sizes and patterns. I enjoy seeing the results and know some unknown person will feel a bit loved when receiving something I made. And although my left hand should not know what my right hand is doing I like to take pictures before I send it away.
Thank you for making these preemie hats and hats and hats for folks in need. I have a great nephew who was very preemie. I was grateful for this precious gift for him. You have so many talents and a huge heart too. Stay dry and warm.
God blessed me with so many things and I am trying to show my love for my fellow men. How wonderful the feeling when you enjoy blessing someone else.
They are lovely Angie. I have a friend who knits all day, mainly hats like these for prem babies.
It is a easy craft while watching TV. Almost brainless. I am glad she does that.
These a so lovely, Angie and I'm sure the will be greatly appreciated! You have such a kind heart! Hugs and keep warm! Deb
Keeping warm. Actually they forecast no more rain and warmer weather for next week. I truly love the creative process and very seldom keep something for myself.
Wow, what a lovely assortment. Looks like a great use for yarn leftovers and a great way to stay warm.
True I was working with scraps, but I have an endless supply of yarn ever since I closed my store.
You had a store? !!!
My sister told me she wish I had my own fabric shop. She thought I'd be good at it and with people.
Too many people buy online and my goose would be cooked!
I had a yarn store for 12 years. It is difficult to create more addicts (Let's face it, that is what we are). The cost of yarn was such, that a sweater of good quality would cost 4 times more then purchasing one......... and you had to knit it,
Your hats are wonderful - what a great way to create and stay warm!!! Well done!
Each one will be loved. I have to have crafts going by my chair all the time. Mostly scrubbers during winter. Hands need to be busy and yours sure have. Great Job!
great knitting, and good way to spend your time next to the fireplace, hugs )))
Yes I love it there. It would even be nicer if I could have a friend with me. 😊
They look fantastic Angie, well done to you. It's so nice to hear that you have some cold weather and sitting next to a cosy fireplace. I don't have a fireplace and really miss the one we had when we lived in Valentine. Love Chris
I feel the same Angie. My husband watches TV all day since he retired. The only time in the winter he does anything else is during hunting season. We were so glad he got another tractor to garden last year, just to get him doing SOMETHING. I would shrivel up and die if I didn't make something or if all I did was watch tv for the rest of my life.
Your little hats/caps are so pretty and appreciated. I wish I had learned to knit.
It's not hard Toogie. If you don't have a friend nearby to teach you, I'm sure you can find instructions on U-tube. Everything in the world seems to be there. Of course you do such a fine job with embroidery, you may be too busy.
Come to visit and I will teach you. Knitting and crocheting is a wonderful craft on the go. So easily portable. My husband used to say " I married her with her knitting needles in hand"
Toogie, Buy the set of four knitting circles (rings) at Hobby Lobby for about $20. I mostly use the middle two sizes. The directions are excellent. However, one brand gives you directions for a lefty and the other manufacturer gives more for right handed. So, if it's not comfortable and natural feeling, just reverse the directions. I can show you, too.
You Cuties are so sweet, helpful & priceless!!!
I wish I had learned long ago, I'm too busy now just trying to do what I already know. Even though I crochet with very fine yarn I love the look of knitting with the heavier, wooly yarn.
They are all lovely! So many people need that kind of love. Thank you for sharing your talents.
