I have not touched my sewing/embroidery machine for months but I did knit quite a few things.

The cardigan has got buttons now, the baby socks still need a cord or ribbon. All but one are hand knitted. I find that so relaxing.
I especially love the odd ball items. It forces you to be creative.
I had my knitting machine serviced and did the green one using it (except for the ribbing which I did by hand). I had not used that machine since the 80s and had forgotten quite a lot, like don't wear a knit item (the cuff of my sleeve became stuck in the machine), push the right levels, make sure your thread does not become undone (so I dropped the piece I was working on more times than I care to remember). That's why I just knitted such a plain item - but my home-help loved it and so does her son :)
Anyway, it is much faster and there's plenty of green and purple left to practice.

Martine while your embroidery machine has had a rest you have been busy elsewhere with this amazing collection of knitting. I can knit but am a slow knitter and still need to finish a cardigan which was started ten plus years ago. Thanks for the inspiration.

Given all the work you have done lately and all the new designs I can imagine there was not much time left for knitting. I am looking forward to seeing your new creations when you get inspiration!

Thanks, Chris. The purple is not a colour I have used for quite a few years but I think it's lovely - and there's a lot left.

Thank you. I like that one too. I mixed 3 different ones from 5 different cones of industrial yarn to give me a variety of shades and colours.

Beautiful work mops! I admire all your knitting skills and look forward to seeing what you do next. Sadly, I too embroidery a lot less lately, as I'm busy with other projects, but at least we are doing something.

I love seeing your knitting projects. They are so beautiful with the colors. Store bought knitted items just are not the work of art that handmade items are.

Wow you have been busy. You will be warm with all those great sweaters,

I am with you. I love the relaxing part of knitting. I must say that I am not much in the mood for larger projects and that is why I knit hats, socks, scarfs etc. I am in the brainless mood. Glad you got your knitting machine going. I am afraid that the sponge-bar in mine may have deteriorated.

I am afraid I knitted sweaters for 8 and 10 years old - not up to do my size or my husbands. But I made some others very happy.
My knitting has been mostly of the brainless type as well. Although the machine knitting needs careful calculation - which I did using a calculator just to make sure.
When using the machine I got all sorts of ugly stitches and that's why I had it serviced. Turned out the sponge-bar needed to be replaced and the professional cleaning of the places I could not easily reach made everything go lighter and smoother. The green one is the first since then.

I learned to knit some 75 yrs ago. It is like swimming or cycling - your speed may be down after a long time of not doing it, the technique is still there.
My speed has gone up since I took it up again 2 years ago when someone gave me a lot of yarn.

they are all great, I remember way back when I would spend hours knitting. Not sure the sings and shoulders could handle it anymore but I always appreciate hand made knitted items. so cozy and warm

Thank you.
I find that the use of a circular needle takes a lot of pressure of the shoulders.
