Hi! A while back I saw a quilt on Pinterest, that I wanted to make but was in fear of that center square. Well, I did it! Yea! I fretted for nothing, about a partial seam, on a block so small. Except for the turning direction of the blades (some may think I'm a little backwards too-lol) I think I did pretty good, if I do say so myself, without a pattern or directions. What do you say?

The one on Pinterest was beautiful to me and had a green print border and bright colorful blades. Maybe you've seen it too.

Love the look of it - especially the fabric on the border. You did super.

The ladies loved it today at our gathering. I gave the leader my instructions and she is going to give it out.

It is beautiful!!! Love the design you did a fantastic Job. I am chicken to make a quilt with anything other than squares and rectangles.

Well then you can do this as that's what it is. Start with 2 squares.

sewpam by sewpam 13 Jun 2019

I can make squares from there just jump in with both feet? I am adding this project at the end of my project list, I really need to give it a try.

I can send you the instructions I made up as I went, if you pm me your email, or anyone else that wants them.

Thank you Jenne. Our QOV group recommends we make quilts at least 60x 80. This one came out 63x 80.

Toogie, that's a beautiful quilt--outstanding job! I love it. Makes me think of "delectable mountains", don't you think?

I'm not familiar with that pattern but the strips are cut like the Grand Adventure pattern from MSQC. Jenny starts with two 10 inch sqs and squares up to 9 1/2 inch, only I cut all mine the same way. She cuts her pile of HST half one way & half the other. It is a pretty pattern.

Oh Chris I am enjoying this so much! I think I like the challenge of figuring it out and the creative freedom of coming up with something a little different, like in my panel quilts. I kind of 'amaze' myself because I only joined QOV February 1st and this is my 5th top, I think.
