Looks like we all use Warm & Natural batting, I agree with the others washes up a dream.
I agree with the warm and natural. I also love Quilters Dream wool batting. I have been longarming since 06 and have had great success with both of these. They are both great to launder and hold up nicely for the recipient.
I'm a Warm and Natural gal. I've washed a utility quilt 20-30 times and thrown it into the dryer afterward. It's still looks as new as the day I made it.
This is the kind of review I was looking for. I thought W&N was 100% cotton and I remember how cotton used to ball up/ knot up inside the quilts. I didn't want that for sure. Thanks 'a bushel & a peck and a hug around the neck!'πππ
The regular Warm and Natural has 12.5 % Polymer Fibers . I had to make sure when I was making the micro wave bowls. Maybe that is why it is so great for quilting.
Warm & Natural cotton batting. It's pretty low loft, so it's not as bulky. I quilt with my embroidery machine, so you can usually hoop the low loft cotton batting if you want.
I have 3 queen sized hand embroidered quilts that I used Warm and Natural batting. All 3 have been washed on the gentle cycle in my machine and look fine. One is hand quilted and the other 2 I did machine quilting. Yes, they were stamped so I followed the quilting lines, so it might be a bit different from the typical quilt. I hope you don't have to wait too long to get your quilt done.
Thanks, my friend Brenda goes to Colorado for 2 months every summer. She offered me the keys to her house & use of her long arm. I graciously thanked her but declined the offer. I will get it done eventually.
Like Kim I like Warm and Natural. However I do not know how anything holds up since they always leave my house. My son has had a quilt I made and the batting held up great. His dog however thought he needed to chewed on it.Fixed that.
I have used Warm & Natural for decades....it is always my go to batting.
