I use the bobbin winder instead. Reason: I accidently got some thread wound around the hand wheel. I finally got it out after time. What a mess!

Oh, I've had that experience, too. Life is full of surprises.

I've done the same thing wrapping it around the wheel. I've also wrapped it around the spool under the bobbin while winding it. It is a mess and practice with patience that I don't want to repeat. I always double check now.

Lucky it did not involve a trip to the shop! Hugs. Nan W
