Remember when I posted about my plastic solvy turning hard and crisp? Well I saved it and guess what...it is back to soft and useable! In the winter months not enough humidity in the air but now summer, hot and humid and it is fine! I do use a humidifier in the sewing room (in the winter) but evidently not enough humidity to keep it soft. I will need to come up with another idea for the colder months. Any ideas? Hugs and flowers to all, Suzanna

Isn't it funny here where I live it is almost always humid of some degree and Summer sewing can be a challenge with the plastic Solvey. So I like it when the Air Con makes it go a bit crispy makes for easier tear off at the end.
I keep mine in a plastic bag and in a wooden chest and have no problems at all.
Pleased you are able to use what you have as it is not cheap and none of us like to throw away embroidery supplies.

I wrap mine in a large plastic bag and keep it in a draw it is always soft that way.

Thanks. Maybe I will use a second zip bag with a wet towel to give moisture.

Unfortunately I can't help on this one Suzanna, I use the mesh style WSS and don't have issues with it. Love Chris

Thanks. I use the plastic on top of most of my embroidery. For FSL I use the mesh.

How about storing it in a plastic bag first and then in a plastic bin? I wonder what others have to say about it.
