Both the grand daughters made outfits again this year for 4-H. They turned out so nice....very proud of these two! The youngest was a gold ribbon winner, which placed her in the top 12 juniors.

Excellent work! 4-H is a wonderful organization. In the group I was in everyone had to make a project to go to the State Fair. I won blue ribbons in square dancing. Your grand daughter look so pleased with their work. Congratulations.

Agreed. I am glad to have them sewing also. I can remember when I started the sewing 4-H club for our county 30 years ago, we have over 30 kids sewing, now I have around 10 in the club.

Beautiful! I do so love to hear of our youth taking on the challenges of creativeness. So much of our forefathers daily lives is falling by the wayside. Their knowledge of doing it their self, their way because they had to is being lost. Especially the handcrafts. Love to see sewing is getting popular again. Great job on the outfits.

Lil, I so agree!!! If they don't put this back into our schools, the kids are not going to have some basic knowledge needed. I am just blessed that both girls want to sew!

How wonderful Tonya. They both have done a fantastic job! I love to see the young learning to sew.
Our grandson Ryke has just finished his first semester of Year 8 and took up sewing - HE FAILED!! His dad, said "Ooh, your Nanna won't be too impressed to hear that!" Never mind he's doing Cooking now, so I hope he passes that at least! Love Chris

Sometimes the kids can't take the kidding/teasing from the others....he probably has your sewing gene but was afraid to let the others know.

It is so wonderful that young girls wanted to learn how to sew and how well they have done in this field. By the time they are in high school they will be making such fantastic outfits they might be asked to sew for others. That's one way of making money for college! Congratulations girls. You're the best.

Thank you! We had some issues with the dress this year since she has been diagnosed with scoliosis. Her left shoulder is lower so I made her unstitch 3 times to get her strap right.
