Hi Cuties, I bought this design a couple of weeks ago and wanted to give it a try. It’s fun and fiddly too, I did the front last night - it’s Wednesday 11.15 as I write this and I’ve done the back this morning. I prefer this pattern on plain fabric the design shows up better. It’s a zipper purse from Stitch Delight. Always handy having these purses. Love Chris

The fabric is just plain black. I just used plain white thread. Love Chris

You must have the patience of a saint to fiddle with this and get it just right and so evenly placed! Love it!

Thanks Tonya, I saw one on their website in a pink fabric with a pale butterfly print and one with a flower and they didn't look too bad. You would need a very pastel type fabric for the design to show up. Obviously a patterned fabric wouldn't show up the design as effectively. Love Chris

Chris, I bet one of my many batiks would work too. It would just give more wave on wave colors. I might have to buckle down and get this design. This would look awesome in a deep purple with a silver colored thread!!!

Hi Nan, yes, I've made lots of zipper purses, but this one was so intricate in its design. Time consuming too! Love Chris

Ok Chris I have just blown my budget and bought this design set.

I watched the Video and what got me was the demonstration was done using T Shirt fabric.
I know this site uses a lot of Skuba fabric but too expensive here but T Shirt stuff I have heaps of.
Now all I need is some quiet time.
Thanks for showing us yours.

Hi Barb, yes, I know it's expensive with the Aussie dollar so low. I don't have any t-shirt fabric, but I do have some soft interlock for little girl's nighties. I might try that myself. Love Chris

ITH purses are not hard really. Just follow the directions and make sure you only use a nylon (plastic zip) have sticky tape on hand and set to go.
I must admit the first one I did I had my finger on the stop button ready. But didn't need it.

asterixsew by asterixsew 09 Oct 2019

Just go for it and follow the instructions they are not difficult

pennifold by pennifold 09 Oct 2019

Yep, the ladies are right. Also read the instructions really well before you start, just to make sure you've got everything ready on hand. I just use a good tape to hold down the fabric on the zipper and the back fabric. Have a got at it, they look great. Love Chris

Hi Chris 10.25 am here no daylight saving for us.
Love love love the purse.
I thought wow she did a good job of fussy cutting the printed fabric.
That was until I did a close up and saw it was all stitches.
What does the back look like?
These will make lovely Christmas gifts for your girls.

Thanks Barbara, I've just added the back picture for you, it's the same but without the zipper section and has circles in place of the zipper. This one is for me. Love Chris
