Check with Babylock they have a needle threader that is used by sliding thread down the needle that works quite well. It works on my serger, my 10 needle and my Solaris. Usable with Brother and I have used it on my Viking in the past.
The auto threader on my Ellisimo still works great. I did have to have it replaced once about 7 years ago... If yours still engages, but does not thread the needle, you might try bending back the little wire hook that actually grabs the thread and pulls it back through the needle. Sometimes it can get bent and misses the hole in the needle. I had to do this on my 10 needle machine and it has been working great ever since...
its very hard to make out how the brother threader works, you have to do a flicking action on a leaver, which goes to quick the see...wendy
I use a machine needle threader like the one in picture. The other end helps when changing a needle.
I use one like this when threading my serger too... Or, I do like Chris and use long tweezers to thread the needle...
I have the same one for my 4-needle machine. ometimes I have it 90 degrees rotated, then it does not work, otherwise it works reasonably well. Or I just use tweezers. For some reason my hand is steadier than without.
Once I learned not to "manhandle" my threader on my Diamond, it works fine. Sometimes needs a bit of finesse but usually works great. Threader on my Epic works like a charm every time. Love my Vikings. Hugs. Nan
Mine died on me on Monday on the Brother and I've still got my Husqvarna in the case from being at the shop getting the tension discs fixed, so I'll be interested to see if it works. I actually prefer threading the needle myself with my long tweezers!!!!!!! Love Chris
I'm left handed & find it hard on emb. machine the frame holder is in the way the repairer last week could'nt fix it...wendy
