Our power was taken out at 3:10 a.m. on Thanksgiving day along with our phone line. Woke up to fireballs outside the window from the live power line, what a rude way to wake up. Fortunately they were able to restore power before 7 that day but phone was just connected. So happy to be back on the computer at at Cute!!!

At least no one was hurt and you managed to have power to cook your Thanksgiving meal. I bet the fireball was a frightful thing, tho. Glad you have your phone finally restored. You think it will make a difference in your phone bill, the days you didn't have service? I would check to see, if they made adjustments.

Toogie, I woke up with a scream when I saw those fireballs out the bedroom window. I was told they won't make any adjustments to the bill......

Yikes. That must have been scary. I was talking to my sister in Connecticut. The power went out right after their Thanksgiving dinner was cooked. Fortunately she had it planned for 1 pm. Lot of neighbors finished cooking on the BBQ.

Glad your sister had her meal cooked. They got hit a lot harder than we did. The winds were pretty wicked here but we didn't get the snows that followed.

Very frightening! I was glad hubby wasn't hunting yet too!

Welcome back! I had a computer scare this week when my computer went grey and then cut off and wouldn't cut back on. After agonizing about it a couple of hours and reconciling that I was going to have to pay the Geek to remove virus(es), I noticed it was unplugged at the socket and had wound its way down. The power lasted nearly 24 hours on the battery!

Wow! That would be quite fretful finding my computer was not up and running.....which it was. So glad it was as simple as the plug
