Hello Cuties! Here is my quilt show!-lol- I have just finished my last Christmas quilt. Made 5 deer quilts, for my men, for Christmas. I picked up 2 panels at Quilts & Quilts when I went to Missouri. Then I had to buy 3 at a quilt shop, about an hours drive away from home when the guys all wanted one. I still needed another, so I ordered a different panel online and got the coordinating fabric, so it would go faster than blocks. 1 King, 1 Queen, 3 Twins and another King for my nephew's birthday last week. The queen was made before October, but had to piece and quilt the other 5 since October. I have quilting burn out. ..I feel like the nanny on Baby's Day Out when she had to read the same book over and over, she could just gag. If I am asked to quilt another deer quilt, I too, shall just gag!-lol

The King birthday present, on their bed, is at the link. The Christmas ones are all here.
1 &2 pic-King 117x102 for our son and close up.
2&3-Twin 76x89 for son-in-law made the same blocks but didn't cut the panel.
4-Queen 90x100 is other son-in law's brick wall, window like Brad's King quilt in the link.
5-Twin for grandson with wildlife print.
6-another Twin for another grandson, with coordinating fabric. I quilted this with a more open meander and I'm not sure I like it as well. It has more fluff but it make it look more like a puzzle put together. All the backs are the same tan vines except #6 has a gray vine backing.

I have one more label already embroidered, just have to hand sew it on backing.....my grand daughters panel she liked just came in this afternoon.....I will probably give her quilt too, for christmas ...UNASSEMBLED !-lol
Hope you enjoyed 'the quilt show' and I hope everyone has a blessed and merry Christmas!- with love Toogie

WOW!!! What an awesome task and wonderfully completed. You are inspiring. I need to get back to work on my quilt.
One suggestion....why not embroider your label onto the backing before you layer your quilt. That way it can't be removed and the information will always be with the quilt.
You are a wonder for getting this done so beautifully in such a short amount of tine.

I often thought of your suggestion, but with a quilt this size I'd probably end up with it crooked, on my 108 inch backing. I don't think anyone will remove it because they all are family and they appreciate it. If it's years from now, I'll be gone and it won't matter to me anyway.-lol-Are you new? If so, Welcome to Cute! I don't recognize your avatar name.

I've been following you for YEARS. but I rarely comment. I LOVE all the wonderful work and pictures everyone show.
If you start quilting on the bottom and work your work up it will be a lot easier to keep the label straight. I know its not important to you, but it is for historic value. Can you imagine in 200 ( or more) years someone saying "My great-great grandmother made this for her son and now I have this quilt." I've seen very old quilts and wondered what the story is behind them....a little bit of knowledge is better than none.
Love this site. Thanks.

Simply, WOW!!! Toogie, you truly are an overachiever! And, that is why I don't quilt, cause I would be gagging after the first block...……..lol. I just can't stand the repetition. Having said that I am truly in awe of all that you and Chris do.

lol-I thought I would never get that big King made, for my son. It seemed like the more blocks I made the more I needed to make-lol-I should have done a disappearing 9 Patch so it would have gone faster on that size quilt. But no, I opted for a 2 1/2 inch x 4 1/2 inch rectangle to make all those colorful patches! Then turned around and made a smaller one for our son-in-law!

Thank you Nan, I hope they like what I have done with them. Even though the panels are the same, I didn't want to make the quilts all alike.

Totally amazing work Toogie. I just marvel at the amount of work that you have achieved in a short time. Hopefully you are able to enjoy a rest this weekend?

Yes, a forced rest. I have a party this week with my QOV sewing group. We are suppose to bring a gift we made. I haven't made anything lately, but I do have things made already, if I am able to go. I just have to decide 'what' to bring. A dirty Santa game will be played. Thanks for looking-Toogie

Oh now Shirley, don't you get burnt out too!-lol-I know the guys will appreciate them because it's something they wanted....my oldest grandson sent me a picture of something I made him as a child. He still had it. Made me feel good to know he kept it all these years. Thanks for looking Shirley. Hugs Toogie

Thank you Chris, but no time for rest, you should know that. It's a busy season. Ashley did offer to come decorate for me, so I may take her up on it, IF she has a free day.-lol
