Awesome.......before the holidays, too....sweet!
She started early and stayed late to make sure all the machines would be done before the weekend. She is awesome❣
Hopefully your now back to catch up sewing. Great news
She fixed it and I'm surprised she did it so fast! Now, to find the fabric in my stash...
I feel for you. I remember a time when that happened to me, so I kept my eye out for a gently used machine that i could have as a backup. Fortunately the one i found was a very good brand, was an unwanted gift and is much smaller than my main machine. It is perfect for travelling. It may be worth checking out craigslist or gumtree as some people sell machines for ridiculous prices and there is nothing wrong with many of them they just don't know how to use them. One lady i remember thought she had a dud machine and was selling it cheap. I could see in the pic she had it set for winding a bobbin. Told her when to do and voila she had a working machine again! Anyway it might be something to consider if you really need a machine to get you through the holidays. be sure everything works on it and take some of your fabric and thread to test. You can always sell it on if you don't need it anymore.
This is a great idea! Thank you.
I think one of my children may have a machine they aren't using right now. You're right about people selling cheap, they just don't know what they have or how to use it.
Oh boy....isn't that the way things go....glad you got a good fixer....take yourself a break!
After you... lol Break probably means something different depending where you are in this world.
The trouble is I was already guilty of procrastinating. Now, I've been asked to help others. I do love helping, so it will be a good distraction.
I was lucky with mine it played up a few weeks ago and got fixed within the week, still under warranty thankfully, so no charge. I hope you get yours back as soon as possible. Love Chris and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I am hoping for one week but I know it will all work out.
Merry Christmas Chris!
And thankfully we have the 12 days of Christmas, so maybe you'll still have everything done in time. Things always work out. Just enjoy the holidays.
It is in the shop and she said she would try to give me as much sewing time as possible. I do love this time of year!
I hope you have a great holiday too ❣
So sorry. Par for the course that just when you need something most, it's unavailable. Hope your Christmas is still very merry anyway.
So frustrating I know! Seems to always happen at an inconvenient time. Hopefully your other machines will pick up the slack. Hugs. Nan
Yes Murphy is always around, gives us extra stress... Hope that your machine will be fixed soon
Isn't it always this way? Aso items that you see all the time and when you want to use them. they magically disappear.
I hope you get your machine fixed real fast.
Do you maybe have a friend who could provide a loaner for a few days? My repair guy has loaner sewing machines, but not embroidery machines.
Hope you have your machine back up and running soon. Hugs
So annoying! Something to do with Murphy's law I think. I hope your repair lady is as good as you know her to be and fast at that.
I greatly admire the Cuties that start their projects early. I don't and my machine seems to know exactly when I'd need it most :)
I knew it was broken. I had messed up some time ago but I'd put it out of my mind. Then, because of things beyond my control... I discovered I need to make a few matching sets of PJ's and baby blankets.
I do wish I could get in the mood to start much earlier. I've done so in the past, but then I forget that I have a treasure hidden--someplace!
hope you get your repaired machine back soon....hugs )))
Sorry to hear about your predicament. Its good that you have a repair person that you have faith in and they work well.
Thanks and it will work out. It was time for the machine to go to the shop anyway.
