Oh my goodness....I hope all goes well for everyone... Merry Christmas!
I feel you sister! I have had 3 where I work with the same virus and I"m cooking for 37 tonight. I don't feel great, but I'm pushing through. The turkey is in the oven, much of the baking is done and I figure if needed I can "talk" someone else through the assembly of the dressing. I have it ready to go together. I'm praying for you and walking on egg-shells myself.
Good luck and I'll say prayers for you, too. With so many depending on us, we can't afford to have this hit us!
Seems there is lots of this 24 bug going around so I pray that is what your family has. And the you don't get it. We are all on pins and needles with the same worry. Merry Christmas Na
I can understand. People were out with it Sunday. We had quite a few missing in our class. Most of the ones that went to my daughter's Christmas party Saturday have came down with it. It hit my daughter really bad. She had to go in and get IV fluids.
Oh my! I hope it is only a 24hr bug it also seem to be going around here in Sydney at the moment I have 2 gs's down with it. Hoping everthing turns out for the better. Merry Christmas to you and all of your family.
Thanks Marian, I hope all our families are well for Christmas day. Merry Christmas to you and yours, too.
Hi Toogie, I do hope you don't get the stomach bug and that your family gets better real soon.
We've got all the family coming early for lunch tomorrow. I'm looking forward to catching up with them all before our holidays away. Love Chris
So where is everybody going? I know you are going to, is it the winery?
I hope everyone is well Christmas day. Poor baby Dawson has it. Giving him Pedialite.
Toogie I always love reading your comments. Your current situation doesnβt sound good. The thought of cooking for 26 ( for me) is daunting with out your added extra. Toogie I look forwards to reading how you solve this one. Good luck and Happy Christmas
You make me sound like a mystery writer.-lol-I always did like to write and loved my English classes. That was a long time ago-lol
I start 2 days before Christmas with the pies and candies. The day before Christmas I have to make my sides. (DIL will bring a corn casserole and grand-daughter-in-law bring a sweet potato casserole Christmas day. I will have my ham ready to go in oven tomorrow and oldest daughter will bake it for me. She has more ovens. Other than that, I cook my roast and meatloaves (yes, guys especially think they have to have them) Christmas day. We are not having a turkey this year. We had one for Thanksgiving and to tell truth, mine don't eat it that much. My sister did say she would bring the dressing this year. I almost forgot. She came in a few days ago from 2 states away. That helps too.
Yikes - I wonder what you decided to do. I send prayers your way!! Hope everything turns out okay and those who are sick recover quickly! Merry Christmas, Toogie!! Hugs, Laura
I have to keep hoping and cooking. It has me in limbo. If I cook and then get sick, they can't come. If I hold off cooking and don't get sick, they will come and I won't have anything ready. So.... I cook on HOPING and PRAYING I don't get sick and hubby gets well.
Oh Toogie. I am praying that you will be immune to this stomach virus. I would give you a hug if I could........ or better not just in case. πππ
So far so good, it's early Christmas eve and I got up putting things to cook. Hubby is still sleeping, so don't know how he feels yet. Daughter said they are better. Thank goodness, because he leaves this afternoon, yeah I know it's Christmas eve, to go overseas to work. I hated the thought of him having to go out of the country sick with this.
I am praying too that I don't get it and the rest get well. One of the babies has it, too.
