I am not affected by the fires personally but have family who live in the country who could be at any day.
So I thank all the overseas fire fighters who are coming and are already here.
I am sure I can speak for all Australians when I say we are grateful for all help, firefighters, ladies sewing things for the rehabilitations of our wildlife that have been so badly burnt, monetary donations and I'm sure many other ways. For those who have lost everything this has been just devastating, for families of those people who have died, even for those of us who have not experienced any real loss but have endured the bushfires it will be a long time before the effects of this event will pass. Please continue to prayer for us all, but especially those who have lost so much and for much needed rain.
We had rain yesterday, storms came in from the ocean. It was still drizzling this morning.Wish it was a bit heavier so the car could have had a free wash while we were out.
We here in Australia are very thankful for all the help we are receiving from around the world. I am not in the affected areas but we have had a couple of days with the smoke drifting from the fires but nothing like other parts of Australia. Thanks for your prayers. Hugs
I don't know if my state has sent any but am so happy the US and Canada are helping out by sending firefighters......I literally cry when they show Australia on the news and see the devastation to human and animal life.....am praying as well for rain ......
I belong to a small craft group and the fires in Australia were the main topic of conversation today as we sat and watched torrential rain outside. The amount of rain needed to really soak the land is days and days worth. Your news is uplifting and those in Australia who are firefighters will be glad of refreshed trained helpers from the States.
Firefighters uniforms are hot and heavy for their protection and it must be truly dreadful dealing with intense heat for them all.
Cooma got well watered because the reservoir that had been filled up for fighting fires cracked open & many homes were flooded. In some cases completely wrecked.
California has send 12 I believe. So far 100 from USA. Praying for rain is all I can do. It is such a helpless feeling. I can not imagine at all what it must be like to be in the mist of it.
