Stunning! I always love seeing your ladies Christmas get together! I think we all enjoy watching from around the world!!!
Stunning work
First of all welcome to Cute and secondly thanks for commenting. Love Chris, Newcastle, Australia.
Your work is just so beautiful Chris. I cannot believe you are sewing for Christmas already.
Hi Sarah, well, it's best for me to get them done early, as I know what the year ahead holds for me with babysitting duties etc. Dana has joined a Theatrical company and will be practicing sometimes 3 nights a week when rehearsals start. She is in a play called Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - an iconic Australian movie with Guy Pears, Hugo Weaving and Terence Stamp in it. It's a real hoot! Plus I still collect Amy's girls every Monday from school and don't get home till about 6.30, so my days are kept busy. Love Chris
Wonderful, beautiful, and I am so jealous. LOL Have to thank you for the sites, I discovered that I already had the set from Cute, now I have the set from embroidery weekly. My machines are both in for service, I know only to well what happens when leaving a machine by itself, my little embroidery machine was sewing out FSL I popped out for only a second came back, the thread had shredded could not get it out, and it was right in the middle of a Zundt design. Hope to get both of them back next week. They are like kids cannot be trusted by themselves. "G"
Hi Sewmadau, thanks for commenting. I don't know your name and I've been collecting names for years, but see you are relatively new to this site. Are you from Australia, as you have au at the end of your Avatar?
I'm glad I've inspired you to do these. I know what you mean about the machines, they can be temperamental at times. My heart aches about the Zundt design, they are so expensive and intensive. Good luck with it all. Love Chris
This is going to be really beautiful. Hugs
Hi Shirley, thanks for that. I've sewn it all up today, put the wadding and backing fabric on and it looks fabulous.
Trev and I are off early in the morning to do some painting on our daughter Dana's home. So I will try and put the binding on later tomorrow or the weekend. Love Chris
Nice job did u have a tutorial for this??
Hi Carolyn, yes there were instructions when you purchased the design. Very easy to do, but just time consuming. You know what it's like when threads break, needles break, getting your hoop set up. It all takes time!!! Love Chris
Wow!!!Stunning..Would love to see Completed stitch out!!
Thanks Sonja, I'll get around to it soon. Got a busy week ahead with babysitting etc. School has gone back here in Australia and I'm out 4 afternoons a week now! Love Chris
Beautiful stitch out, Chris...can't wait to see the finished beauty!
Thanks Kim, and what a lot of work it was! I can't wait to see it finished too! Love Chris
looks beautiful I know how much time goes into the Embroidery and you cant leave the Machine because if you do they play up [mine does ] its a great Design hugs Ursula
Hi Ursula, yes I know that too well. I had quite a few issues with the threads doing the applique squares. I ended up using a 75/11 quilting needle! I also had to do 2 extra triangles as I'd forgotten that I'd used green on the long red side for the triangles!!! Wasn't happy I can tell you. That's why I've decided not to make the runners, anyway I made a beautiful runner for them all a few years ago that I got from Sweetpea - the freeform runner and I made them a Holly one prior to that. They are on my Projects. Love Chris
Beautiful Chris. I haven't started on my gifts yet, too hot for sewing!
I know how you feel Mary! It's ghastly down here and the humidity is horrible. ALove Chris
This is gorgeous Chris and will be even more so when it’s together. Love it and glad you’re keeping it for your table.
Thanks Toogie, I can't wait to put it together, but as Mary says it's b#$@&y hot here at the moment and I've got the air-conditioner on all day out in my sewing room. It's Mum's birthday today and so I've been out most of the day. Love Chris
