This is amazing! I'm sure she will treasure it. She might even not actually use it so that it doesn't get worn out, and that is ok because she loves it so!
She said just that and I told her NO! It is made to be used but I did instruct her about washing. Thanks
Beautiful work. Yes I think she is pleased. "G"
I have one of those, if I don't check he would wear the most outrageous colours together, other than that he is a sweetie.
Yes they are. My daughter once heard some arguing between her husband and their then 3 or 4 year old. (She is six now so was a few years back) He was trying to help get all the kids dressed for church. When my daughter came into the room and asked what their problem was my SIL said she won’t let him put her clothes on to which the child replied because they don’t match! My daughter told her husband Nora was right, they don’t match!🤣😂🤣
Thanks for 👀 looking!!!
Beautiful!
Thank you Georgianna and Welcome to Cute Embroidery! Here is your first flower! (see the number by your name) You will love it here and also love the "Cuties", as you get to know them/us. We share not only our projects (you know we don't share designs unless we digitized ourselves-that's not only illegal but a No-No), we share all our interest, hope, love family, etc. Enjoy your stay!-Toogie
girl, this is amazing!!!!!!!!!*************************
It is perfect. The colors balance so well and really accentuate the flowers.
Thank you, although I didn't have the exact prints her picture showed, I was able to get fabrics that I thought went well with the panel. One black/white fabric has sunflowers and one yellow has bees. The panel has a few bees.
It's a wonderful quilt and perfectly quilted. Sometimes the quilt just tells us what it needs. You've done an admirable job. No wonder your granddaughter is so proud!
It's by no means perfect but thank goodness the fluffiness helps. I'm glad she likes it and the pillowcase was an added surprise. Thanks!
Wow, the finished quilt is beautiful!! Great choice of the crosshatch quilting design. I need your expertise when I finish the quilt for my granddaughter.
I'm sure you don't need any help from me. Will be looking forward to seeing her quilt. I just love seeing different things. Thanks for looking!
Thanks Toogie, I need all the help I can get. I also love seeing all the different things and glad of the pictures that are posted. I am already waiting for your next quilt.
Pam
I have a baby quilt top pieced together, just squares, but I am thinking of adding some applique embroidery to it. I'm not sure though, as I don't have any yardage. My elderly aunt gave me the 'squares' and I say that lightly, because none were actually square or a consistent size. I re-cut into smaller squares, so that's all I have to work with. I will have to think about it a little more....
I am ready to see it. The hardest part of a quilt is not the piecing together. The hard part it is the designing, choosing fabric and figuring out the best method of quilting. I am now in the final stages of choosing fabric for the last 18 blocks. Silly me, I thought it was going to be quick and easy, this is my second day.
Oh Toogie it is gorgeous! I am certain she will love it. And the crosshatch quilting is perfect. You are a true artist. Hugs. Nan
Oh, well donne. Love the crosshatch quilting. It looks like a trellis and enhances the garden theme. Love it, hugs
I thought the same thing about a trellis so I’m glad you recognized that too. Thanks!
Toogie, you produced another wonderful quilt. I love the colours and the straight lines of your quilting fit the quilt so well. Lanie will be over the moon when she gets it.
Sorry about your wrist. Take it easy. I think doll's clothes are the limit for a while :)
Perhaps you're right but no sewing today. I am leaving in a bit for Avery's school. Thanks I gotta go NOW!
I love the crosshatch! It really sets it off. Wonderful work!
Well done Toogie, Lanie will love it. The quilting looks fantastic perfect for this design. Glad you were able to finish it in time, hope your wrist feels better. Marian
Thank you Marian, it will and does already feel some better. Tomorrow is her big day!
It's BEAUTIFUL .The cross hatching is perfect & was probably the easiest one for you to do with your sore wrist.I tried out one of the long arm quilting machines at a craft fair work shop & decided that I was hopeless at it.I have plenty of other sewing & embroidery things to do instead of being frustrated with free style long arm quilting.
I think it was having to hold the ruler against the foot while moving/tugging on the quilt that hurt my wrist. I would LOVE to have a machine on a frame, but no room for it. My husband won't let me get rid of the living room furniture to put one!-lol-Thanks
A lady from our church added a room onto her house to accommodate a long arm quilting machine. Can you talk him into that?
I asked him to knock down a wall and he thought I was joking-lol- I guess I really was, as I can't give up another bedroom.
Fantastic job, love the colours combination, will bright up any bedroom.
Your granddaughter will treasure it. The label is a nice touch!
Sorry about your wrist, take care. Hugs
Thank you for noticing the label. I try to match the label with the quilt. If I don't have a match, then Cuties to the rescue! Mops made my pinwheel for my other grand daughter's Pinwheel quilt.
You have such a good eye for balancing your colors and picking your fabrics. I know she'll be thrilled. Love the loft of the quilting, too. Have you made a scrapbook/photo album yet of your quilts?
Every time Walgreens has a 9 cent each print offer, I haven't uploaded my photos and too busy at the time of the offer. So the answer is 'No' but I plan to one day.
Speaking of balancing your colors, my husband has no sense of color, and IF I say anything, he goes off. Since he is older he must have outgrown it because his easy going nature is out the window. Anyway the other day he had on a turquoise tee shirt. (I detest tee shirts only because he won't wear a button up unless I blow up) So he decides he's a little chilly and before we leave he puts on a flannel shirt over it. You can still see the turquoise shirt at the neck front with the country blue plaid flannel on top! Of course I just had to say how it clashed and he says they are both blue and went out the door like that!
Tell him all the ladies he meets will think what a sweet, eccentric, daft old man that is over there.
Beautiful! Your granddaughter will love it. :0)
Perfect! The crosshatch quilting was ideal for this design.I am sure your granddaughter will love it if not, as you can tell, there would be a few of us that would gladly put in a bid for it. 😊😊😊
You think?-lol-Angie I zoomed in on the picture she sent me and saw this is how they quilted it, so I'm just copying again. Usually if I can see it I can make it. Not on all things, but quilts so far, anyway. Thanks!
Toogie these colours really "pop". It is beautiful. Great job. Hugs
Beautifully done! Your quilting skills are great!
Toogie this is just perfect. She will be so happy with it. Hugs
Toogie this is beautiful. Please if your grand daughter doesn’t like her quilt could I put in a bid for it?
lol-you could but I think she will like it. I also think she will be surprised that I blocked it off so similar. Time will tell. Thanks!
