Lovely bag Chris. Love the black and white colours!
Love the bag, Chris, crazypatch !!!πππ Mary
stunning and so is the one below. Chris, where did you buy the In-R-form? Maybe not here in Australia?
Hi Vicki, Thanks and yes I bought the In-R-form from my local Thorpe's sewing shop over at Boolaroo. Love Chris
If you have a look on line it is available in Australia.
Fantastic handbag Chris, elegant and practical.
I will not call it a crazy patchwork but "Fantasy in Black and White"!
Hugs Roberta
Can you tell me the sight name for Sweetpea so I can get the Crazy Patchwork Purse? Thank you. Rosebud
Hi. If you read carefully the purse has been adapted from the bag so it's a unique 'one off'. If you put Sweetpea embroidery into a search engine the site comes up. It is based in Australia. Sorry I can't do links on my phone. Please if you could reply to this message saying you have seen the reply? Thanks and happy sewing
Hi Rosebud, when you go to Sweetpea just look up the Crazy Patchwork bag and purse. Mine was adapted with the use of zippers. There are a lot of different looks to this bag. Love Chris
I looked this bag up on the Sweet Pea web site. I put in the words CRAZY PATCH WORK bag in the search. I think the words crazy patchwork confused the search a bit. So I did a search of just BAGS. This beautiful bag came up on page 6. I am going to make one. But what color?? There are so many. If you click on the picture of the bag on the web site, it displays all of the different bags that people have made with this pattern. Sweet Pea has some beautiful designs and the ones I have sewn out are perfect. Margie
I am still busy with mine! Used leather on bottom and top. Made my straight at top as I want to add a zipper. My back is just quilted in a grid. Not fond of totebags.
Yours is lovely!
Lynette
Hi Lynette, your bag is gorgeous. I love the plain colour fabric with the gold coloured thread. I think if I make another one I'd do what you have done. It would definitely sew out much quicker. I love the leather fabric. Love Chris
The black and white combo is stunning! How clever to add the zippered compartments? This will be a go-to bag for a long time! Congratulations!!
Thanks so much Bev, I thought it was great too and that's why I decided to copy Renae's bag. Renae is another member on SP, who did it first. Love Chris
Elegant and beautiful. Love the black and white theme. I think that what gives the bag the elegant look.
Thanks Angie, I'm basically a black, white and silver gal who happens to love Purple! Love Chris
A very smart looking bag! Love the black and whites, too. I have sewn in headliner fabric to give body to my last few bags. I have washed one and it has held up well. Cheaper and wider, too. Just another option.
I am using a bag my daughter bought me right now. I just told my husband I need to make me a new bag, because you would think the bought one should have lasted longer. I just haven't decided on a style. I like the look of a tote, but I prefer a one handle bag. My shoulders are narrow, or sloped, or not great for two straps. I can't seem to keep the two straps up when I put on my shoulder, to free up my hands.
Love the bag and the choice of fabric. Thank for sharing
Now, this a call a very great bag. Congratulations
Hi Anita, and itβs so useful. I am looking forward to finding some handbag hardware, clamp closures, key holders etc. β€οΈπ΅π»
