Have just come home from the supermarket here in Tassie. No Toilet paper or Tissue in sight. Lots of other empty shelves like sugar and Flour. Lucky for us we did not need them but feel for the ones that do so. Woolworths are letting pensioners and the disabled only into there stores when they first open for 1 hour. Time is between 7 & 8 am. Can't image it being feasible for a lot of the elderly and disabled to get to the stores that early. Just hope they can.
I live in Texas and work as a food demonstrator out of local grocery stores. They started cancelling our jobs three weeks ago. And now our stores are only open for a certain amount of time each day. So I am not working now. And our shelves at our stores are empty as well. I am glad I always think ahead when I buy groceries and don't need much of anything. At least I can stay home and craft. Stay Safe and Prayers to all.
Bon courage à tous, nous somme dans la même situation en France
I am also from WA, we (tried) went shopping yesterday for milk, bread, and butter, there was none, the shelves were bare. . Coles said in an add that they were from Saturday only allowing 2 of most products that are not on the shelf per person. Talk about crazy, it is unbelievable. The picture of two women fighting over a pack of toilet paper what in the world have we come too. It is so un Australian.
we bought a little extra (frozen dinners) for if we are stuck at home, were 30k from the town so I don't know how we would go for deliveries...wendy
Today I read that about this fellow that has a garage full of hand sanitizer which he had horded as soon as he realized the need. Intention was to sell it for absorbent prize on Amazon. Amazon stopped him cold and took his add down. Now he is stuck. I mean boxes and boxes in his garage. Serves him right.
Ebay stopped him cold as well. Some fools will still probably buy from him though. I hope his family become pariahs in their community until they learn how awful what they planned to do is. Hugs Nan
