We had our Amazon acct hacked last year and we cancelled everything with them because they allowed the hacker to change our password. The hackers requested to reset our password and they allowed it....so where is the security? Feel for you, Christine.......I loved shopping at Amazon, but not secure enough in my opinion....
I believe that is what happened on amazon and ebay. I had that account for many years and I do feel violated that they shut me out and stole my identity.
I feel your pain Chris, I hope you can get it sorted out really quickly. Trev got 'duped' 2 years ago from someone who said they were from Telstra (our National telephone company). I told him off for not being more savvy! If it was me that had done it I would have never heard the end of it. Love Chris
You had the chance to tell them off at least. I did not get that opportunity. Thanks for posting,
That's just awful !!! hope thing get solved soon. Hugs, Gerry
I have the address of the person who is trying to take my identity. and she is here in my town. She neglected to remove and address off etsy and now I have it. I will submit a police report tomorrow, although I do not expect anything to be done about it, I will take special care in all my transactions.
Awesome, how lucky for you.....mine was done in China, no chance for recourse........
Ugh!
Exactly. I thought it was when I donated money, however it does not seem to be. The fraud person at the bank says they can retry information from years prior, so I think these people are desperate.
I am sorry to hear of your difficulties. I was lucky. Someone hacked my HSA account (health spending account is easiest way to describe) they started out by charging something for less than $2.00 in Brazil. Luckily the company caught it right away but my account was frozen for a few days getting it straightened out. Hopefully you will have a quick resolution. Hugs.
I believe I handled it as quickly as possible. this is the second time in a year I had to get new cards.
