Very well made Chris. I know the kids will be proud to say their Grandmother made them!
you have been using up all your spare CV19 time, that's for sure. The back packs are fantastic. PS Do hope that you and family are all well.
Hi Vicki, well I've certainly been using up my time sewing. I had nearly finished Cooper's green backpack, when Ben, our son told me no Cooper doesn't actually like green, but Aqua. So I've just about finished an Aqua one and will finish off the green one and Ben said he'd have it.
Yes, we are all well. Love Chris
The work involved is just amazing. Beautiful work.
Oh, Chris, they just get better and better! Love this colour combination. Congratulations!!
They are all so gorgeous! But still like the purple best!
Thanks Linda, yes, me too. Love Chris (and that's the smaller one made in the 5x7 hoop)
Lovely as all of them, perfect colour combination as usual.
The purple one is my favourite. Congratulation and Hugs.
Another lovely bag. Out of interest how long does it take to make one of these beautiful bags please?
Ah if I read carefully and work out the maths … I can get the answer I asked
It depends Caroline, if I sat down all day and did nothing else I could do one. I usually take 2-3 days. Darina who has made 17 of them can do one a day, but she must sit there constantly to finish, or have a couple of machines going. I did with one of mine, but the Brother kept playing up, so most of these have been made on the Ruby Royale Husqvarna machine. Love Chris
I am keeping an eye on all your backpacks but just had to reply. I love this one. Colors are so pretty. They are all pretty and wanted to say how well you have done them.
It is official - I like each one even better than the last! I happen to love yellow and blue together - so pretty!!! This is such an incredible project, you won't be able to top it next year - lol. Hugs to you, Laura
HI Laura, yes, this one is so pretty and Delphi is a real little girly girl. I will have trouble thinking up something I'm sure, but at least it's keeping me busy. Love Chris
Stunning!!!Would not know which one to choose!!!!They are ALL Beautiful..Stunning work done!!!
Thanks Sonja for commenting on my backpacks. I absolutely love a lady' s ones on the site - she has made 17 of them! Love Chris
I think all of these are so beautiful! I would love to do some - I could only do the 5x7 size, but I think all my girls would like them. One question - are you using upholstery type fabric (at least for the outside) or a dress weight cotton? After all the work put into them, will they hold up to the wear-and-tear of a kid/teenager? Thanks!
Hi ?, sorry I don't have your name on my database. I am only using cotton fabric. You could use upholstery fabric and use a stronger needle when sewing it all together. The one I made for Aqualina is a 5x7, but I think the bigger one is more useful. No, these will just be used for them to carry things they want to take for a sleep over etc. I could always treat the fabric with a waterproofer an put stud on the base! Love Chris
Thanks for the info. This will be helpful. I'll post IF I ever get brave enough to try one. ... I'm Kathy :0)
