UPDATE: Well, my daughter made it thru her first time at work in nearly a month. She did 3 days, then is off for 2 days, then back again. She said it was good to be back to what she was trained to do, but did learn that another respiratory therapist on 2nd team also has tested positive, and an ICU nurse. My daughter does most of her time in ICU, but they have now what they call clean ICU and the Covid ICU.
She is just happy that we don't have to do her shopping now, and begs us to please stay at home, and not to go out. I hate to hear that there is a possibility that they may be opening some of the restrictions. I know it is hard for some to stay home and practice social distancing, but this is not over. Please stay safe and Healthy.
Cyber Hugs.
Good to know she feels like she does. Sounds like you have a daughter to be proud of. Thank her for her willingness to help her fellowman. Sorry to hear about the other workers. A cousin of my husband called last night and said his MIL has tested positive and is in a nursing home in a room with her husband. MIL ‘s in good health but FIL is diabetic and now has a cough too. MIL high fever is gone but coughing...
Sorry to hear that Toogie...I have a sister in assisted independent living in Texas, and worry so much about her. She is in her own apartment, but it seems hard on her, for her kids are not allowed in.
So wonderful to hear she is doing better. Will continue to keep her and all the others in prayers.
Thank you all....we are very proud of her, but as Toogie says....we need to continue to pray for all of the people putting themselves out there to protect us. We need to help them by following the CDC guidelines and staying apart. We have not been out much since the 12th of March, and yesterday was first time I saw my daughter since the last week in February, except to wave to her from the street. She still says she will not be with us much, for she will be exposed again, she is sure. Cyber hugs to you all.
Praise God for her healing! I don't blame you for continuing to worry about her. But know Cuties will continue to pray for her and all of the people who are fighting this virus.
Such good news... We could not get through this without dedicated people like her... thank her for her service to humanity...
She went back to school after being released for a job going overseas, and got her degree and license for respiratory therapy....she told us - that can't be outsourced, and I am paying back, after loosing her lung to cancer. She is tough, and husband calls her "Sarge"... and she is taking care of our veterans. Proud of her.
There are some very brave and wonderful people out there. Please thank your daughter.
This is good news. Thank you for letting us know. This virus has devasteded so many lives and is not done with us yet. Stay save and well
Thank you Donna for letting us know how she is, but first, thanks be to God. I am so glad and relieved for you that she is well. Maybe she has built up an immunity now. I think she is going back too soon, too...We take this virus seriously and have been in for a month tomorrow. Our family doesn't come and I miss them!!! They text or call, asking if we need anything, but we are ok. I think what prepares us better than others is getting paid once a month. You manage for a month or longer.
No, it's not over and we need to still take precautions. Please pray for my SIL Richard, still overseas, unable to come home.....Again I am so happy for you and your family.
