Just finished my daughters quilt she wanted as her colours 50 shades of purple did not manage 50 shades I did 80 x 8inch blocks from Kreative Kiwi her jelly roll coaster blocks. I did quilt as you go and my hands took a beating as there is a lot of hand sewing on the back. two pictures front and back. Cant give it to her until after lockdown but have sent her a picture. She loves it I also used for the four corner stone blocks KK zodiac signs and also her quilt label I just added date and name of quilt . pictures not so good sorry in full sun

Wow! Carol, it's just beautiful. Your daughter will love it, I do! No wonder your hands hurt I've been looking close up on the second picture and there was so much hand stitching. you deserve a medal or at least a prize at a local quilt show! Love Chris

2 Quilts in one. You did such beautiful work. Looks as if you used every piece of material. That border is fascinating and a great idea. Job well done.

Gosh thank you as for the border I was going to do the piano border with all the stripes I had over and realised that it would be too much so I cut that 5 inch piano border I half and added long 12 inch stripes just to add another shade .

The center is gorgeous, but I love the little blocks border part the best. It's simply and pretty.

What a magnificent quilt! She will know how much you love her every time she looks at it.

I once tried to get 9 shades of grey and ended up having to dye fabric.

Thank you I enjoyed this one because this daughter never wanted a quilt so now at the age of 44 she at last decided that she likes quilts.

Ah! So this has special meaning for you as well! Some things just take time. She'll probably want more quilts as time goes by and she realizes what a comfort a quilt can be in life.
