This is just so sad. Covid is so very contagious. Nearly everybody here in SA wear masks when we are outside/ shopping and walking. We now live in a very different world.
I’d be happier if people here would all wear mask. Sadly that’s not the case and probably why numbers are as high as they are.
Oh my Betsey ,this makes me so sad. They will be in my prayers. Daughter #4 is having colonoscopy tomorrow and #1is having endoscopy on Tues. It's outpatient but still hosp. So praying they do not come home with Covid Other 2 girls are okay. Granddaughter is at Sanibel Island with her family for a week and daughter#2 is in Pensacola visiting hubby's brother in their new home.. I'm staying home!
Very sensible to stay home. I am overdue for my every couple of years colonoscopy. My surgeon tells me I must wait.
This brakes my heart, So much suffering with the Covid .I pray for all that are affected.
So sad for your friend and her family, I'm sending my prayers.
Unless she was hospitalized for a period of time, it is most likely she was already carrying the virus prior to her fall. Symptoms don't generally appear until about week after exposu
So sad...being so very careful and then contracting Covid while in the hospital being treated for something else... Hang on to your hats as I suspect there will be a nationwide increase due to states opening up over the past several weeks and also the protests that many cities have seen over the past two weeks....
Stay safe in Wales and virus free has been a comment many of us have used recently. Sadly the story you have told us about with your friend has been a common one in the UK with people admitted to hospital for one problem and then catching the corona virus. I am saddened to hear your story and hope that your friend and her family do not suffer too much and that none of them need hospital treatment and are able to stay in their home.
That is so sad, like Laura said.
We had a 'traveling' lady died last week with Covid. She actually lives about an hour away. She is the pianist at her church and when their church opened back up, she went. There have been 10 in her congregation diagnosed positive and another 10 in her community.
We are still not socializing or shopping except for groceries and that's not been often. Our son comes and our youngest daughter and her family. My oldest daughter stays away and I really miss her. She really needs support because it's her husband that is still stuck overseas going on the 4th month.
Although things are opening back and people want to live normally again, we still need to be cautious. We went this morning to Sams for elderly, early shopping. All had mask on. Then we stopped at another supermarket (place DH can get his ice cream mix) and hardly anyone had a mask. Cashier did though. You can't be too careful. What's the old saying, better safe than sorry.
I hope the couple get the help and support they need. It really is a bad situation because she will need care when she does come home. I told my husband when I broke my leg, if I was widowed or alone, I would have had to go into a nursing home until I could get around again. I was thankful I had him....He just doesn't want me doing it again! I told him, "Neither do I!"
Your poor friend. She and her family will be in my prayers. This is such a sad situation. I hope they get the help they need for her husband and I hope she is able to get through this horrible virus. Please let us know how they are all doing! Hugs, Laura
Thank you for your prayers. Guess we all need them, as everything is potentially a serious problem.
