What a talented lady you are, as are most of you. Imagine, knitting and designing and digitizing, of course your daughter as well. I love the dark color blue jacket.
These turned out exceptional. The digitizing, embroidery, placement of the designs. the colors right down to the pictures are perfect. Love the picture at the yacht club it makes me miss being at a marina and sailing. Thank you for posting these pictures.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I too would love to do some more sailing.
The way we use our embroidery machines is never ending and this is brilliant. I can see why your daughter is being asked to create more of your unique idea from knitting to machine embroidery. Also what fun working with a daughter for your grand daughter. Definitely a family effort
Esther and I did a lot of sewing and embroidery together when she lived half an hour away. When they moved to Norway it was a different story. Ruth is becoming rather good at a sewing machine too. I was lucky enough to do a lesson for her and 3 other girls couple of years ago. Just too bad I can't visit more often.
Brilliant work Martine, no wonder everyone loves it. I love the flag (or ensign?) designs on the cream jumper, you are very clever to digitise these and a big shout out to your daughter for her sewing prowess!! Love Chris
I just looked at the signal flags and used them as a knitting pattern then and digitised them now. I think an ensign is a flag or standard, especially a military or naval one indicating nationality. These signal flags are loose letters and numbers - the number ones are a different shape, a triangle with the top cut off.
My elder daughter had me do our telephone number (without the areal code) on her right arm. They are quite easy to knit except the ones with circles on them.
In the picture you can see that the R T and H from 'Ruth' are in 'Esther' as well.
Esther does an awful lot of sewing but hardly any embroidery lately. But I think she'll be busy shortly.
wow it looks so great !!! no wonder there are many more who would like to have this. Hope her leg will have a good recovery so she will be able to sail again soon. Hugs, Gerry
She'll have to take it easy and have physiotherapy for a while. No running, easy on stairs, no hill walking, no jumping, no sailing, no ice-hockey, but there's always swimming. School is on top of a steep slope, but school holidays in Norway started this Monday.
Looks good. With the black background everything pops. I am not surprised that Esther received lots of requests.
lt's a dark navy blue I was told. Hard to tell from this picture.
Ruth is only a four letter name, the requests so far are five each. So i wonder what we'll do for size. This fitted a 240 x 150 mm hoop. Much wider would not be suitable for those rather small backs, although she has a 360 x 150 hoop as well.
This is totally awesome! All of her friends will want one too!! Love it!
I am afraid you are right, three requests already and luckily some of the letters are the same. There are a dozen in her age group, so we'll be kept busy, I guess.
It does look jolly, as you say! Nice work! Your family are so lucky to get request fulfilled. And now orders for your daughter to do more. How great is that!
So is your family!! Esther had some machine problems, could not get the tension right and I must say it would have been a lot easier to get my hands on her machine than using whatsapp :)
