Remember the old Sunday night show United of Omaha's Wild Kingdom? Well, my woodsy home is starting to feel that way - again. I just stepped into a semi-dark kitchen to make myself a late sandwich for supper and a frog jumped across my line of vision. This is just really too much. Where are the five year old boys when you need one? I have made my sandwich and offered him two (!) rat glue traps for his evening entertainment. I've never caught a frog since I was 8 and those were the little fingernail sized ones at my Mother's back steps. I'm hoping I can give a good report tomorrow. All I can figure is that bags of groceries came out of my son's car and sat on the back porch for about 15 minutes before I brought them in - and probably him, too. Which means he was in the bag of aluminum foil and Ziploc food bags that I did not unpack yesterday. Ugh!

Yikes! I would have screamed my head off! While the frog means no harm and is probably wanting to be out in the wild, I sure understand why you wouldn't want him in the house. If you have one of those fish nets, keep it handy so you can catch him. Or a damp kitchen towel would do too.

We've had a lot of geckos this year and they live by the front door and the garage door. A benefit of having them is that we no longer have crickets in the house. But when I first saw one, I screamed.

The mysteries of nature. That was a wonderful show! Praying that your uninvited house guest leaves soon!

This put a smile on my face!! Loved Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom - I can still hear the man's voice in it. As long as it isn't too big a frog - I probably could try and catch it. But, a big bull frog - I'm afraid that I couldn't do! The worse is not know where he is - that he could jump in front of you at any time is a little unnerving! Maybe if you put the open grocery bag on the floor - he will jump back into it! Good luck - hope he doesn't have to crook - lol!!! Hugs, Laura

I bet it was a shock! I'm not fond of things scurrying in my house either! And they are always "shown the door"! LOL! Good luck catching the "hitchhiker" and sending him on his way. 🐸

I remember that show. I loved it. I agree, he's a good guy so I hope you managed to get him outside safe and sound. Thank goodness all of those items are well boxed so safe that he probably hitched a ride with. And I don't blame you for not wanting him as a pet. I wouldn't either

You really don't want to kill him as frogs eat spiders. So good to have although I know you want him outside not in. I found a small one in my living room a few weeks ago. Caught him in a paper cup and tossed him outside! Good luck. Nan

Please don’t hurt him. I just love frogs. This is one of our tiny ones we get in S. Africa. He seems to like my cycad as he is often there.

Which of you jumped the highest? Just kidding Betsey. If I saw something jumping my kitchen I would probably run . I too, have so many lizards and frogs out side they are to numerous to count. So far none in the house though.

I have an unusual fear of lizards - we were in Florida for the first 3 months of Covid 19 and I had to stay alert to avoid them!!! I grew up in Florida - so, I should be use to them - but, I am not and yup, I know they won't hurt you!!

I sent Gus this picture today of underbelly of a frog on my kitchen window. I was trying to get a pic when he zapped up a bug but he was too quick for me. Gus gets so excited to see the frogs on my windows at night.
I remember the show but Sunday nights at our house was always Bonanza.
