In my stash I had a couple of meters of this bubbly cotton material.

I sewed two dresses last week. Picture #1 shows one that's size 18 mnth or so, it's an Ottobre design I've made several times before using remnants, old men's shirts etc.
Picture #2 is a size 4 yr. I use a T-shirt pattern, cut it 1.5" below the armhole, and added a gathered skirt, just the width of the fabric. The length of it was just pure guesswork.

There's still enough left for two more dresses.

Those dresses are very cute. Love the piping on the second dress. Seersucker fabric is one of my favorites for summer clothing.

Thank you. I like seersucker as well. Don't see any in the few fabric stores that are still doing business the last couple of years.

They are sweet Martine. I've noticed a lot of the fabrics I used to get are missing these days. Most of them the light weight summer fabrics that were so easy to work with.

Dank je. ik heb een nieuwe machine en greep steeds mis als ik iets wilde doen, daardoor duurde het wat langer dan normaal. Ik zal dus wat meer moeten naaien om mijn snelheid op te voeren :)

These are so cute - whoever gets one of these will feel extra special! I wish I could plow through my stash as quickly as you do! I could send you some when you run out... 😉

I did not sew much for a while, having been busy reducing my knitting yarn stash - but as I could not resist buying new as it was a bargain I am not doing too well on that front. :)

Love these both!! Such a sweet way of using some of your stash!! I haven't stitched on seersucker in ages - it is such a nice fabric!! Great job! Hugs, Laura

Thank you. And thanks for giving the correct name for the fabric - I could not remember it - I like it for summer clothing as it does not not show wrinkles.

Great work and you have used the fabric with great effect. Love that you have a label in the top dress.

Seersucker was the fabric of my childhood! These turned out darling.

Well done. Are you sewing these for charity or for family members? Smart using a t-shirt pattern for the base.

Thanks, it's for charity and it gives me some satisfaction to see my stash reduced albeit a teeny weeny bit.

They look marvelous M! I like the raglan set in sleeves and center pearly on the first one, but I really like the classic look of the larger size. The added green piping dressed it up too. Did you use a yoke lining or a back facing? Thanks for showing us.

Center pleat - this phone likes to ‘correct’ me😩

My phone has a mind of its own too :)
Thank you.
Did a facing - if you look closely you can see the size as the rest of the yoke shows a bit darker due to the blue mannikin.
I liked the piping - it was just the right colour and was waiting in a box with laces and borders.
