Good for a few giggles! I "resemble" most of the items in this list. When we pull up in a parking space, before I can even get my car door open, my husband says "now don't touch everything in the store!" 🙄
lol-he sounds like my husband. He won't stay home but then he doesn't want you to be long either....lol lol -
not long in a fabric store?-lol
Once, as we were walking out to the car, I was naming all the places like Hobby Lobby, Joanns, etc that we had to go to. He said,"Well, I don't want to run all over." I stopped in my tracks, almost making him run into me, and held out my hand. I said, "Just give me the keys and you stay home. It's no use going, if I can't get what I'm going after." town is about 40-45 miles away! He grumbled a little more not UNDERSTANDING why I had to have a CERTAIN fabric from EACH store.
I had been making a quilt for the guys christmas and ran out of two fabrics I was using. One came from Hobby Lobby and one from Joanns. I would have loved to just bought it all at one place, but one place didn't have both of them. He acts like I like running all over! Is he crazy? I want to get home to sew!-lol
Absolutely loved this!!!! And yes, I fit just about all 9 of them. Petting fabric to me is as calming as petting the dog or cat and what is wrong with that! Maybe we would need fewer psychiatric drugs if everyone had fabric to touch. Thanks for the chuckles. I know we all could use more chuckles. And fabric petting.
One reason I like it when I am warned or phoned someone is coming ( before covid days) is I have time to get dressed.-lol- Otherwise hubby has to entertain, until I jump out of my gown. Since Covid I told my husband I will need a new wardrobe when this is over. I'm wearing gowns night and day!!! It has been hot enough to sew like in the first pic but believe me when I say, that is not a pretty sight!-lol
Thanks for the laughs - I think we all could use more than a few laughs and a trip or two to a fabric store. Guess I'll just have to go pet my old fabric. 😏😄 Take care, dear lady. Stay safe and I hope you have a good weekend! Prayers coming your way. Hugs*, Deb
I 'felt' -lol-the fabric I had left from the blue dress was enough to make Nora a kerchief for her hair, so I made her one this morning.
One of my grands asked me once if I was opening a fabric store-lol-I try to sew, most days, a little something after 'shopping' from my stash.
When my girls were little, we lived in a 150 year old Victorian house. There were 3 bedrooms on the top floor, one of which I had commandeered as what my girls called "the third floor fabric store"! It was a very accurate label! LOL!
That put a smile on my face. Yes, I have sewed in my underwear when a garment needs to be tried on more than once. And the petting of fabric is a requirement, that is why I do not like to buy fabric on line, it cannot be petted. Thanks for the link.
Pam my husband has told my friends before not to buy at our local fabric store, Walmart, etc because the fabrics have holes. When they look shocked he explains I have rubbed them so much I’ve worn holes in them!🙄😉😂🤣
Oh your husband is a wise man, looking out for you best interest trying to keep your friends away from the fabric you like. He is a good man,
