Sending love and best wishes. I hope the pain is soon under control.
Oh dear.......yes, prayers are on their way to her.......I can't even imagine the pain such an invasive surgery causes......May God keep her in his loving arms as she heals!!๐๐๐ Also prayers for Dave to keep up his strength as he endures witness to her suffering!
Thanks so much. From what Dave said, her hip was even worse than 6 months ago and needed much more work than anticipated and a larger incision. Yes, Dave needs prayers too. Poor guy has been doing the work of 2 the past 6 months and is still managing the cats on top of it all.
Hi Karen, thanks for the update. I do pray that Suzanne's pain does reduce this week. It's always hard to cope with but at least she has had the original pain taken away and now she just has to let her body heal from the surgery. She will be up and about again very soon.
Father God, please remove the pain from Suzanne and surround her with your loving arms, please be with Dave as well as he helps her recover. Love Chris
Thank you Chris. I agree. It's just hard to know she is still struggling after being in pain for so long and unable to do much at all. And I know Dave has been carrying such a heavy workload all this time also. I'm concerned about him too and the stress that this is causing.
Sending best wishes for a full and speedy recovery....
One of our friends had both hips done at the same time knowing it would be bad and she was afraid she wouldn't do the second one. But, she said the first week was awful - after that, the pain progressively got better. I feel for Suzanne and continue to send prayers her way!
I met someone who had both hips done on the same day. I was in awe that he could even walk when we saw about a month after the surgery. Good to know the 1st week is the hardest. I am hoping Suzanne will have a better week next week thanks to your info.
Some pain is probably expected but I do hope they will be able to manage it. Pain can be so discouraging for the patient while trying to do therapy and heal.
From what Dave told me, the pain is pretty bad even with the medication. She has been in such bad pain for over 6 months so it has to be very hard for her to still have so much pain after surgery. She still can't manage to much which includes talking.
Oh bless her heart! Itโs got to be hard on Dave too. I know itโs hard to see Douglas in so much pain. Thank goodness itโs not constant because it can be managed, sometimes.
