Thank you for posting this great picture of Avery! She shows so much joy in the picture. I am glad your sister is better. Have fun cutting the fabric.
Thank God she has always seemed to be a happy child.
Thank you all for prayers for my sister. I donāt know if the fun will happen until I can actually see the cuts. Itās slow going today as itās a lot of Mini charms (2 1/2 in squares).
You can see the joy in her smile!
Yes she does show her happiness and when she gets surprised/ startled she jumps and then laughed at herself. If we could all be so sweet tempered the world would be in a much better situation.
So good to see her smiling and happy. We all feel Ashley's pain of not being able to hug her child. Avery is in my prayers daily. Hugs to you all. Nan
Thank you So much Nan, you canāt help but love her and want her happy. She was so tickled over Gus and Nora shouting at her, all at once. They remember the week before when we all FaceTimed trying to shout to wake up up, to no avail. Mom told them she is awake today so no need to holler and make Gram deaf!š³š
So nice to see her beautiful face again, good news that Ashley was able to visit her. Good to hear your sister is on the mend, hope everything keeps moving forward. Keep up the work on your fabrics it will be rewarding when finished.
I will be glad when I can just sit and sew. Cutting out is my least favorite part, partly because of my back and because it so repetitious.
It was good to see Avery for sure!
Hi Toogie, what an awesome photo of Avery, she looks so elated. I can just imagine all the chatter as each one was trying to talk. It's like that at our place every Sunday. So happy too that Ashley and the rest of the family got to see her face to face. It's so hard not to be able to touch and hug our loved ones. Good on you for all the hard work you are doing with all your quilts. You are one very busy lady. God bless you all. Love Chris
Iām probably not any busier than you. I know you help your family a lot too. Lanie sent me an āI miss you Gram!ā text the other night. I did tell her to come over but She said she was cooking. She sent me a picture of her quilt on her bed and said she thinks of me every night when she gets into bed. How sweet!
great news, and what a lovely picture of Avery, that must give everybody a smile on the face. and how wonderful it must have been to be able to get together. Thank you for sharing. Hugs, Gerry
Right now only her parents can go but thatās fine with me. I do miss her and she is not my child, so I know how much Ashley misses her. Glad they had this time with her and we got to visit via FaceTime. Little Gus is only four but he loves his AV. Thatās his name for herš
So much good news. Thanks for sharing the picture of our unofficial Cutie. Love the bib, I looked closer and think it's your handiwork.
It is an old bib I made. I really need to make more as I think some of them are shared with others. Good news for sure and so thankful too.
Avery looks so excited. What a great feeling it must have been for your daughter to finally be able to see her after such a long time. Pleased to hear your sister is out of hospital and doing better, Keep busy cutting up all that fabric. Hugs
I have been busy but taking lots of breaks.š
My daughter was trying not to get down, but she had never been apart from Avery, for more than a few days. It did us all good for them to get together.
That picture is such a Joyous one!! Praise God they were able to finally see each other. This has been such a lonely time for so many. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and inspiring story with us.
Youāre welcome. I am so glad they got to be together again even though apart for social distancing.
Yes, I know people get lonesome. My nephew finally got to go in and see my sister. It did them both good. She called me as soon as he left, to tell me. I could hear in her voice, it was like a booster shot, the visit uplifted her so much.
I'm so glad you posted this picture! Such joy in her sweet face! Thank you toogie for this feel good post. I hope your sister stays well and the quilts are fulfilling.
I am trying to purge my sewing room. I have used a lot of fabric during Covid but it has made me realize how much I need to do. I am trying to keep only what I really like but itās not easy because I think š¤of a purpose for everything.
Work is slow because having back issues, off and on.
Glad you got to see our Honorary Cutie again. She is growing so much! Who would have thought!
Toogie, Thanks for posting this pic of Avery! She is just soooo happy! I know it warms your heart to see her so happy. I can't remember what her diagnosis ended up being. She sure reminds me of our Ben - the Joy of her face is so much like Ben's when he was out-of-this-world thrilled! Love and hugs to Avery .... and YOU!
Thanks Jan, she is exactly like Ben, very special!
She is a twin born at 26 weeks gestation, at one pound , 11 ozs. Her twin Isabella lived 19 days weighing 1 pound, 2 ozs. Pregnancy was called Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Avery has many disabilities because of this, but she is the love of our lives and is always happy.
This just makes my day! To see Avery and that beautiful face glowing with such joy. I'm so glad she and her parents finally got to see each other in the flesh. And delighted you were able to Face Time too.
Hurray on hearing your sister has been able to go back to her familiar surroundings. Now I pray she is able to regain her strength.
Your fingers are always busy. What a lot of work, but once done, it will be pretty to see the colorful groupings.
We got a lot cut today. I press and hubby helps with cutting by holding my rulers from slipping, when I get tired of pressing.
You should have heard all the screaming trying to talk to Avery! No reason she was laughing with everybody talking at once and Gus & Nora each trying to speak louder than the other. I was laughing myself even though nearly deafened from Gusās repeated ā Hey AVā š¤£
I can't help but grin reading this. I'm still grinning ear to ear and I'm sure you are too. I hope they get to do another visit soon.
Oh, I love this picture of Avery! How difficult it must have been for your daughter to not be able to hug and kiss her sweet girl!!!
You sound busy as usual - and my craft room always is in need of some organizing! Thanks for sharing the picture of our Avery!!! Hugs, Laura
Ashley is always busy with home schooling the kids, her church work, etc but sheās had some very lonesome days for Avery. She could only FaceTime. I too miss our girl!
