I did that for a while...then finished a quilt...now cleaning out and cutting precuts of fabric. Sigh, with a hobby like mine (and others) do you ever really get through?
I wanted to make something for the September challenge, but with my sewing room looking like it's upside down, it wasn't happening. I do apologize, Miss Veronika!
Our son-in-law stated when we came in, "Y'all still cutting up fabric?"...if he only knew...
You're not supposed to get through, Toogie. You would be miserable. Stop thinking of it as a hobby and think of it as a lifestyle! Love the SIL's comment.
"Boring people have tidy homes". or is it
Tidy homes have boring people? LOL. My sewing room is a disaster right now and it was all neat and picked up last week. I must not be boring!
I was going to say keep having fun and I think that there are a number of Cuties who need to do the same. For my saving of embroidery designs I do as crafter does and keep designs under two headings. But it doesnt mean I can always find what I want
I wish I could say it will take me only 4 days. When i first started about 2008 I collected freebies and also purchased. They were only in a folder "embroidery". Then I decided I better organize them by subject. The problem was that I was attracted by certain designs and often bought duplicates. To avoid that I created folders by companies That worked for a while till I could not find anything. Which company was it that had the angel ornament I like so much?
Now I have 2 files. One with the companies and another by subject. Right now I am organizing everything into subject so I can find things and when tempted by a design I can go to the designer/company to make sure I don't already own it.
Now when do I find time to stitch out items with all that organizing?
