I'm thankful to have a home to go home to.
Jan you definitely put everything into perspective with what you have been through.
I am thankful for each day God gives me. Never thought I would still be here with the cancer in my lungs. This is why I am a firm believer in prayer. I try to live a full life, and not go about with doom and gloom. Right now am finishing up on the dresses for the 50 girl boxes going to the Haitian Orphanage and school my church helps to support. 50 Boys and 50 girls. We'll be packing the boxes first week in Nov. So they will arrive by Christmas. I get so much joy from doing this. I have so much joy in life that is why I am so thankful for every day God gives me.
You sound very busy creating great stuff for others and thanks for replying
I need to get some things made for some boxes too. Are yours for Samaritan's Purse?
What a wonderful idea! It makes me stop and focus on the positive instead of all the stressful family things going on. I am actually blessed that I have a family that is causing all the stress! I am blessed with wonderful friends and cuties that care about one another. I have found a wonderful virtual Bible study from which I am learning more about our wonderful Lord. My health is holding steady and not getting any worse. I am looking forward to possibly seeing one of my daughters and grandbaby at the end of the month. I have a roof over my head and my husband has a job. I am very blessed. Thank you for this opportunity.
Thanks for replying. I love your comment that you are blessed with your family that give you the stress. Our families can be quite stressful at times.
I love this post. I had decided that I was making this my Happy Day. So this fits in perfectly I am so happy and grateful I have a wonderful God who loves me. Other things that make me happy include my handsome hubby, friends who make me laugh, Then there is Cute and the wonderful special Cuties like Ben and Avery who have taught us so much about love. And my last contribution is the hobbies that give us and others so much joy.
Well Karen I hope that you had a happy day and thanks for your positive attitude to those who appear to be down
In spite of having a bit of the blahs (I miss my family and the weekly dinners) I am keenly aware how blessed I am. Heck, being able to get up in the morning is a blessing. I thank God for another day of enjoyment with my 7 month old shepherd/lab. She forces me to get up, get dressed and go for a walk. I enjoy being in my yard, watching wildlife and tossing balls to the puppy. Because of the fires in my area one gets reminded how fortunate one is to have their home intact. Lots of positives in my life including the expectation of a new great grand child in January.
Angie yes there are bits of life we miss but with your lovely new dog I am sure that you are busy most of the time looking after her. Exciting news on the arrival of a great grandchild especially after all your granddaughter has been through
My hubby and I are retired so we are together a lot - with the pandemic we together even more - we cope easily because we are both so concerned about the other one catching this sickness. We both miss our kiddos and grandkids, we have a new precious 4 month old granddaughter who we haven't even met yet. But, we are patient. I am grateful, so very grateful that I can go through this with my hubby. The few things that I cannot do, I will do sometime later on. I am grateful for patience and contentment! Thanks for the post! Laura
Thanks Laura and I hope that you dont have to wait too long to meet your grand daughter. Im sure her parents are longing to show her off to you.
Sharing lockdown with a husband/partner is definitely a positive to this at the moment. Keep enjoying each others company
