She is so sweet, can almost feel the hug she would give. Great work as usual. Know you will enjoy your family, and wonderful they are/can preserving what they can from a home built that long ago. Home I grew up in was built using material from my Grandparents old old home.
Your Mrs. Santa is so beautiful! I am amazed you have time to sew! How wonderul of you to have your family in your house. I can't imagine cooking for 10, although I am sure they help. I usually have 20+ for Christmas but this year due to Covid I will go to my sisters where we will have only 4. I have not told the rest of the family, I hope they understand. Hugs and flowers, Suzanna
Thanks Suzanna, - there's only 6 in our household, not 10. We will also have 20 plus for Christmas, but our son Ben and his partner are hosting this year, yeah!!! Love Chris
sounds like you are going to be really busy Chris. good luck with everything. Just reading today about the fires that were everywhere in NSW this time last year, let's hope they stay away as this year has been ghastly in so many ways. xx Vicki
You're not wrong there Vicki. I know what you mean re the fires, I was only saying to Mum today that this has been the coolest Spring we've have in years, all due to La Nina!!
It's usually so b...dy hot in November. I think the summer is going to yucky! Very humid for us up here. Love Chris
She is a beauty Chris!
I know how much more work you will have even though they may help you, but I also know you will enjoy them while there. Please show us before and after photos of each house. I would love to see the old house now. My husband and I both like old things, that's why we love each other-lol
Love it!!!! I've got pictures of their old place but they are on my phone. I'll see if I can put up a separate post and wish me luck. Love Chris
Your Christmas works are always top of the line. Must be very organized to find time to do such an extensive embroidery with all going on in your house. Now that the limit of 25 K's is revised we hope to see our oldest son soon. Our youngest is in USA and all the other members of our family are in a very highly infected part of Europe.
Hugs Roberta
Thanks Roberta, I do hope you get your wish for Christmas. I'm sorry to read about your family members overseas. Thanks for your lovely comment.; Love Chris
Love Mrs Santa.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
Our grand-daughter has the ok to come back to WA to live, she had an accident in September last year and has been trying to get home every since. Hopefully she will be with us in a couple of weeks. We are very worried as she and a girl friend are driving from Queensland to WA and this time of the year it is really hotting up and the thought of driving over the Nullarbor just worries me no end. Both of them are so confident that everything will be ok, so we have to just go with the flow.
Hi Sewmadau, thanks for commenting and I'm sure your grand-daughter and friend will be fine. The young ones of today have no fear. It's a long way for them to drive all the same and I wish them a great journey. Love Chris
Oh, isn't she adorable! You have been so busy - you must be exhausted! You'll love having them there - I am certain! Just love Mrs.Santa! Hugs, Laura
Thanks so much Laura, yes, it's busy, but great. It will be a full house for dinner on Thursday alternate weeks as Dana and her 3 come to dinner, so with us 6 plus her 4 there's 10 for dinner every fortnight. Love Chris
Mrs Santa is lovely. Are you doing the Me Santa To match?
Hi Shirley, yes, this one and the other Mrs. Santa will be incorporated in the Santa runner. Love Chris
This is wonderful. So Christmasy. Well at least you will be able to love on all for a while. Hope their new house will be as pretty. Old houses are my thing. I just love to see them, touch real wood and wished I could have everything in all old bldg's. When I watch demolition I just cringe at what I see going down.
Hi Sandy, yes, it's great that they are keeping some of the old to go into the new. Thanks for commenting, love Chris
What a busy time for you! I'm sure you enjoy having them together with you, especially at this time of the year! I regret social distancing during the holiday season, but you are lucky to have them under your roof. They are lucky too to have you open your home to them! Mrs. Claus with that wonderful facial expression is wonderful! Nice work!
Thanks Penny, and thanks for commenting and well, it's what you do for your family right? Love Chris
I'm so glad the family is settled in now. What a nice surprise for her to come home and see the beds made and the laundry done. I know she had to be tired so nice that it was done. Mmm, you and Ophelie make a wonderful team. Warm biscuits are such comfort food in my book. I love the Mrs. santa design. Hope we get to see more of the designs.
Hi Karen, thanks for those lovely comments and yes, I'm hoping to do some more this week. Love Chris
A quiet time on your machine sounds just the anecdote to a very busy house. Good to hear the move has gone well. Snap on the embroidery as I'm on the snowmen. I bought the design many weeks ago and finally its at the top of the sewing list.
Hi Caroling, I just commented on it. Well done, I'm going to try and do some sewing tomorrow. Love Chris
Chris your home sounds lively. In one way I envy you. The weekly family dinners at my house have stopped since the virus and at times it feels lonely. On the other hand at my age I get exhausted just watching the great grands for a few hours. I admire your stamina. Enjoy having your family close.
Thanks Angie, it's going to be a chaotic time, but one that will be full of memories. Love Chris
I love her, Chris... A home full of love, family and fresh biscuits...heaven!
Such a sweet look on her face, matches the sweet thing you are doing for your family.
