Cuties I have loved the responses to my work in projeects with the majority of you admitting to having untidy to chaotic sewing rooms. Your replies have really cheered e up and made me realise that I am not alone. When chatting to my dealer last week he said of all their customers only two have tidy sewing rooms as they have OCD. One even has a white carpet... mine is beige. I will keep the door firmly shut and as we dont have visitors at the moment its not a problem. Love and thanks and flowers to all.

Alright, I could challenge any of you to show a picture of your mess in any stage of the project and I know I would get the prize. I was madly working on Christmas one year, one project after and during another. When all was completed, but the tiding up, I took a photo. I was going to show you and my daughter said NO. She said people might think all the house looks like that!-lol- thank goodness it doesn’t but she said people don’t know me might think that.....I really think I am at a place in my life that unless I’ve hurt someone unintentionally, I’m ok with what others think. That’s their hang up, not mine. My hubby likes the house straight and clean but thank goodness he’s not OCD. Like Sarah, is probably go mad or drive him mad!-lol

Toogie one of the plus sides of life at the moment is that were not having visitors so the house is passable but if people are visiting I would prefer it to be better. Life is too short to worry I tell myself

I actually feel the odd one out. I used to be very untidy. My husband is German and I think he is OCD. He is an absolute tidy freak. He hates anything being out of place. He is now banned from the kitchen when I am cooking as he starts to clean up around me. It nearly drives me mad.

You've got me laughing. However, from my experience at machine embroidery classes and events, I would say all of us fall along the OCD spectrum. It's why we're attracted to the machines in the first place. And why we're good at it. We are perfectionists. We are exacting. We are precise. We are determined.

Well what a great reply. Sometimes I feel I have a touch of the OCD's and thanks for your great thoughts

I am trying to figure out how anyone can have a tidy room and the only 2 ways I can think of that happening is thanks to OCD or a person is able to start and finish a project in one sitting, so to speak. And how many of us have only 1 project they are working on at a time? hehe And no, I don't close the door to my sewing room. Those who know and love me know what I do for hobbies and they enjoy seeing what I am working on. So don't be afraid to show off what you are working on.

Isn't it nice to know we are not the only ones that can't keep their sewing room nice and tidy. Thanks for starting this conversation

I agree that reading the posts cheered me up too! Thanks for starting the conversations, and now I can relax when I look at my mess and think "I am not alone!"
