Sewing on paper, just a try me, to see what it would do. this is somewhat paper board thinner the poster board, with a narrow bias around it, I put a candle reef on it for Christmas

Wow! I'd would have thought that was impossible! It would seem that the needle would have cut the board out. Is it the type of board like used in manilla folders?

BTW, that's a fabulous quilt!

This is a poster type of paper.
yes the quilt I feature a sewing picture a few months back, this a log cabin quilt, the quilting was done by a lady in our area, she did a super job on this but it was costly as I t is not an all over cloth type of quilting.

When sewing on paper of this type, you must length you stitches to about 3.0 or there about. so if will not cut the paper.
