Nice machine and nice hubby! I have an old one, too. I sometimes think I need to get rid of it to have more space in the room, but I say, nah. I'd just fill it with something else and I like looking at it even if I don't actually use it. I had to call the lady back after I got mine because I thought the bobbin was missing. She said she had removed it so I wouldn't lose it during transport and it was in one of the drawers. I said this long pointy thing?-lol
Although this is all the machine my grandmother had sewn on, I had never seen her bobbin.
I inherited a machine like this from my husbands grandmother. It has all the attachments that originally came with it. Have never tried to use it though. Maybe someday. No place to put it right now.
Just beautiful. For years I kept a similar one in my hallway with an old oil lamp. But these treasures must be preserved. Due to my age, I've started to find new homes for my things. Enjoy.😍
You lucky girl. Husbands are wonderful mine bought mine as well.
Yours is much fancier than mine but will do the same job.
Have you looked up the serial number on line to see what year and where it was made?
Looking forward to seeing your wonderful pieces as you create some lovely garments.
Lucky you. My mother had a machine like this and my brother and I loved playing with the treadle. Sadly she changed it for a ghastly Singer that I hated and it weighed a ton. Enjoy your new baby, will you sew with it or not?
What a gorgeous table! Will we get to check out the machine too? Your hubby is definitely a keeper.
wow, it brings back memories, and it still looks great !!
