These look lovely but also they must have taken a lot of time to produce each one
Just read below that each was 5 hours sewing time. A labour of love and a heirloom for your grandchildren
Stunning Work completed!!!Well done..Beautiful designs!!!
WOW! Five hours a box!!! They are well worth the efforts you put into creating them. I spy lovely birds and flowers on the wall behind them! They look gorgeous too.
Thank you the birds on my fabric wall hanging are all hand done in the days of cross stitch and hand embroidery and thanks again
You are definitely going to be the favorite grandparent with these gifts. The boxes are pretty and useful.
Great work and all done in time for Christmas. The kids will love them especially as Grandma/Nan/Nanna etc. etc. made them. Love Chris
Those are lovely. Does the mobile box have snaps to hold corners? I have been wanting to make one and cannot decide how to do corners.
Love the designs on the fabric boxes. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you yes I normally do snaps I am not a bows or ribbon gal I did the centre part in my 8x8 hoop then cut the fabric two inches bigger on each side used binding and sewed on the snaps. I also quilted the extra two inches on each side it gives it more body
I clicked before I added I was wondering if snap or velcro. Like you bow and ribbons would not be good washing or having to make sure they were contained when packing. Thank you again, tips are always so helpful.
Those Boxes are a lot of work. You did a super job.
Thank you yes I timed myself each box from start to finish took 5 hours I did not take into account deciding on what patterns to use trying to match the boxes to what the girls like that took longer so not a 5 minute gift
What beautiful and personal gifts. Love the music one especially.
