Hi Cuties and Merry Christmas,

Well, it's that's time of year again when I hold my annual Christmas ladies luncheon.

This weekend has been so hot and wouldn't you know it, it's going to be 30 tomorrow. I've had my air conditioner on all weekend as I just hate the heat and the humidity has been very high.

Trev bought the tables up yesterday and I started to dress them. Today I had church and then a Cluster meeting this afternoon for an hour and a half. I am on a committee for my church - Belmont North/Redhead Anglican church and there are 4 Anglican churches in east Lake Macquarie. We got together to organise gatherings for next year.
Once that was finished I did some shopping for tomorrow.
In the morning I'll buy a hot BBQ chicken, Ham and Turkey. The ladies all bring a salad of some sort and I supply the drinks, Plum pudding and custard for dessert and Plunger coffee. I may get some little choccies to have with the coffee too.

Anyway, here are the pictures so far before all the ladies arrive tomorrow.

The long Poinsettia centre piece under the vase of flowers I made early in January. I've made a hand towel, flannel and tea towel with Poinsettia designs on them too. The ladies also get an FSL Christmas tree ornament and each one has a Mobile phone case (except for Mum, as she doesn't have a mobile phone.)

I have the plates on my lovely placemats I've just recently made, but they are for me to keep!

Once the food arrives I'll take some pictures of that too.

Wish you could all be here, but you are in spirit. Love Chris

1. Table taken from the doorway into the back room.
2. Sue's setting (my oldest friend).
3. Meg's setting - from Cute!
4. Chris' setting (my friend).
5. Stasia's setting, my old Folk Art friend.
6. Kaye's setting, my other old Folk Art friend
7. Carol's setting (Mum's friend)
8. Mum's setting (no mobile phone case for her)
9. Looking at centre table-piece - Chrysanthemums, Delphiniums, Christmas Bush and a native bushy plant with little green balls on it.
10. Picture of my magnificent porcelain 3 foot high Santa (my pride and joy) who is on the food table. I'll take some pictures tomorrow when the food is on it.
11. These are the placemats I made previously.

Once the ladies are seated I'll remove the floral display and put the little one that is sitting on the table behind with the coffee cups on it. That way we can see each other!

All your decorations are splendid! The attention to everything, only you could accomplish! I know I would forget something. I know your ladies look forward to this luncheon and I know this year it really must mean a lot to them to be able to attend.
We are still wanting to get together here for Christmas. A grand daughter-in-law asked me today if we were going to have Christmas this year. She said I will wear a mask, just so we can all be together. I told her as long as no one is sick we are planning on it.
I know we will be taking a chance, because some of them are out in the workforce, but we have missed birthdays and get togethers all year. Hopefully for Jesus' birth day we can celebrate with our kids.

Thanks Toogie, I do hope you can all get together. We are very fortunate here in Newcastle as we have no covid. I pray you and your family can all get together. Love Chris

How fabulous! Every year your table is so beautiful. I know the ladies are proud to come to your luncheon. The porcelain Santa is my favorite too. I usually have 18-22 for Christmas Eve dinner but this year it will be dinner alone. I am okay with that because next year we will be having a grand Christmas Eve dinner. Love, hugs and flowers, Suzanna

Hi Suzanna, thanks for commenting. Yes Santa’s gorgeous, I agree. We are very lucky here in Australia we’ve got Covid pretty much under control. It’s just dreadful the amount of people who are dying in America. I pray there is a vaccine soon. Love Chris

What a dazziing and impressive table you have set for your guests! I love how you did the cultry holder and name tags. All the little details come together to make it such a pleasing event. I'm sure all the gals will enjoy all your efforts in creating this for them! Maybe some pictures of the ladies so we can see their expressions when they view what you have created for them? They will be astounded.

It all looks very nice and festive. Turn the air con on early as the heat will spoil your fun otherwise.
Had mine on at 5.30am yesterday and today it will be hotter.

Have fun everyone.

Hi Barb, yes, it was very warm here today. I had put the air con on about 11.00, but it didn't cope well. Would you believe we are taking all the family up (well most of them) to Coffs Harbour Saturday till Tuesday and it's going to rain all the time! Love Chris

Gorgeous table, Chris...I know your ladies will have a wonderful day...wish I could be there too! I recognize those poinsettia coasters too! You are so very lucky you are able to have your annual luncheon this year...we just went into another total lock down effective at midnight. Covid here is rampant and our hospital ICU beds are almost at capacity. Truthfully, it is frightening. I know you will all have a fabulous time...looking forward to more pictures after your event!

Hi Kim, yes your Poinsettia coasters were lovely. Everything went off beautifully.
I have been watching your country's demise with the Covid virus. I just don't understand why people aren't listening to the warnings about this. We here in Australia have been wearing masks and keeping our distance for months and it's been working. Keeping my prayers that you will all understand how to get through this. Love Chris
