I wanted to make something other than ribbon bows for package toppers. I got this design from EL, but did not make it just like the directions. I made only 3 layers instead of 4, and used gold beads for the center. I glued it together instead of stitching it. I used a white background for the photo, but for some reason, it looks brown. I think I'll use double stick tape to attach it to the top of the box.

The only problem I had is that I use the 6" hoop with my Babylock. Apparently, one cannot stitch a 6" design in it, so I had to reduce the size a tiny bit. Live and learn!

I'd love to see the ones you did! Did you stitch out the top center leaves I left out?

Ah! I thought that it'd be a nice to place one on top of a dinner plate...like a charger plate...to dress up a table.

Thanks! I uses "carpet" tape to stick it to the top of a box. It's like masking tape but both sides are very sticky.

So beautiful just the right amount of leaves I think.
Well done.

Thanks! I agree. The center round of leaves are actually curved up which requires hand sewing...which is another reason for not stitching that layer out!

I like that idea and it turned out just great. I am keeping that one in mind for next year. 😊

Thanks! In my case, I wouldn't remember it next year any more. I'm lucky to remember it for the next day!

Looks very pretty!
The hoop is 150 mm which is less than 6 inch, 5.93" to be precise; the 100 mm hoop is 3.94". A slight difference but it can be just too much for the design one wants to use.

Ah! Thanks for explaining that! I did not realize that the hoops were metric as it says 6." It must have been rounded up. Anyhow, not a problem with a single design. But, when you have multiple parts, you have to adjust each part to get the correct outcome.
