Can one bond too much with their machine :( I'm sad :) The other night I was working on a order. I still work on my very first embroidery machine. The brother PE 700 with no usb. Only the card slot. However; while trying to get the design over to the Basic PE-Design software and onto the card. The software kept giving me the MFC code. I followed it's instructions and still it acted up. It was just too time consuming for me this time. So I said, I will go and look for a newer machine to purchase. Being that I just bought a new Brother SE1900 last year. At that time my old sewing machine was acting up. I need separate machines because sewing is my first love :)

Behold I now wait for the arrival of my brand new Brother Innov-is NQ1600E with the 6x10 hoop. This way I will be able to upload my designs quickly and not waste time.

I am happy but I didn't know it was so hard to say goodbye. I've owned this machine since 2007 and she's still a beauty and powerhouse. This machine is how I arrived at "Cute Embroidery" many years ago :)

It's hard to even unplug her :(

I'm undecided if I will keep her or gift my bff with her. FIESTA ANYHOW ;D

Well, congratulations on your new machine... I am sure it will being you much joy and happiness! If your PE700 is just going to be sitting around in a closet or other, and your BFF is someone who would cherish it as much as you, then I say that would be a most wonderful and generous gift...Perhaps the two of you would be able to embroider together after this virus has passed...

I do understand your sadness at saying good bye to your beloved machine. But I have no doubt you will fall in love with your new baby too. I think we all could sit around a table and enjoy talking about our memories of our machines we loved and used over our years of stitching..

Good times ahead with your new machine Monika, but I know also how hard it is to part with a loved machine. I still have my first Husqvarna (plain sewing machine) in my wardrobe on the floor under my long hanging dresses! I can't get rid of her. I think I will most probably never part with her. Love Chris

Chris I do understand :) If I had more room. I would have a one on one sewing and embroidery party with myself. Putting all the machines around a table and use them all, LOL :)

Not so long ago I bought a Brother V3. My Brother Galaxie 3000 is around 20. I found it very sad too stopping sewing on it. I had such fun and created so much on my first machine and created so much with it. So yes I understand your sadness but you will enjoy your new machine and have fun creating new goodies. My Galaxie is off to my younger daughter but Covid is currently stopping the move.

I know your daughter will love creating her memories on it. Just knowing that it was her mom is going to be a moment to capture forever :)

I can’t make up your mind for you but I have the card slot in my Brother PE 750D- I don’t have a problem except when the stitch count is higher than about 25,000. Even though it’s a 5x7 design it still is a problem. Hope you like your new baby and if you gift this one, I say, that’s a nice gift anyone should appreciate! Merry Christmas!🎄🎁 Toogie

Thanks Toogie :) I was trying to hold off a new purchase until next year. However; life has a way of turning things around as we can see in our trying times of COVID-19.
