Great Job! I don't have the nerve to cut mine. My niece did it for me last spring, but now that the salons are open I resort to the professionals. My hair has curl to it and many cowlicks!
I wish I had curl. One of my grandsons has curls if his has a little length that would be so pretty for a girl-
Nerve? Nobody sees me anyway except hubby. We go out about every 6 weeks for groceries.
I also cut my own hair, and have for years.....I hate to take the time to go to the hairdresser,,,,,I'm much quicker! LOL
My hair is very fine and straight, and hard to anything with , I am the only one of my bro and sisters with this type of hair from my Mom. So I cut my own and some others in the family had beauty training at one time work as a beautician at one time, wear it sorta a bob, wish I could do bangs like yours, but we have what we have, love that your hair is all grey my is just sorta gray.
Pictures! We need to see. When I go too short with my bangs they poke straight out.
Nice job on your hair cut Toogie!! I have been cutting hair for years now. I do everyone's. My hubby cuts mine hehe... I love the color of yours it is very becoming....
Just one question. Is there anything you can not do? BTW I love the color of your hair. It is such a pretty grey that almost looks blond.
I used to cut my husbands hair. It was so curly, if I made a mistake, you would have never ben able to notice. In our young days (no money for hairdresser) he used to straighten out my long hair.
There is a lot I can’t do, too much to list but one thing it at the top, I CAN’T KNIT 🧶
Seems like a few of us cut our men’s hair. Masons hair is curly. If he lets the top grow any, it looks bushy.
Lovely job, pity the model did not smile. LOL Make up who needs it you look lovely as you are. We are so lucky here in WA everything is open so no worries about getting ones hair cut. I always have mine short so much easier to look after.
Our beauty shops are open, but the cases are so high, I don’t go. I have 2 great neices right now with the virus, but not too sick. One is a teacher and one is a nurse on Covid floor. Been working with them since beginning March. The model doesn’t take good selfies😩
You are an amazing woman! I couldn't cut my hair since I can't cut a straight line thanks to my vertigo. hehe I've decided I will not get my hair cut until we no longer have to wear masks. So my hair is slowly creeping towards my waist. I find it interesting that several have said they like my hair longer and since I haven't been dying it, they like the salt and pepper color. And I think you look great without makeup..
You always are so sweet. I know how bad I look🤪
So are your ends dyed and toward scalp, salt& pepper? I don’t get out to buy color so I guess it will stay gray. I can’t draw a straight line but I can sew and cut one!-😂🤣
I stopped dying my hair almost 7 years ago when my husband retired as a Chaplain in the US Air Force. So it is all its natural color now, which is a mixture of dark and silver. And yes, a lot of silver around my face. I love not having to dye my hair any more. Not that I could. It takes too much time and all of the movement around me in a salon makes me dizzy. And the thought of trying to do it at home gives me more jitters since I probably could not do it by myself without being dizzy.
And you are beautiful. It is the love and peace that shines from you that I see.
Well done Toogie, it looks great. I have very short hair as I can't stand hair on the back of my neck! Love Chris
It reaches a certain length and I am that way. I can’t stand it. It’s surprising how much better I feel when I get it cut. My sister said she liked it better blonde and didn’t say anything about the cut, after she asked for pictures. I started to remind her about Thumper’s mamma on Bambi saying, ‘If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.’ 😁
I usually wear my hair in a short bob. But, I haven't had it cut since February 2020. It is so long now - takes forever to dry it! I think if I can put up with it, I will keep growing it until the pandemic is under control. I have thoughts of then cutting it short again and donating it. We'll see if I can put up with it until then. I understand the shortest length they will take for donations is 8 inches and I am at about 6 1/2 inches now. Your husband did a good job cutting your hair!! Hugs, Laura
He cut it when it was blonde straight across bottom as in first two pics, before I cut that sink full off. He does good getting it straight, but the very first time I asked him to cut it I got 😱 scared. He is left handed and when his elbow was up so high I was scared I wouldn’t have any left or it would be so crooked/gapped. It was fine so after the first time, if I just wanted a trim at the bottom, I’d call him. I always cut the rest. That’s good for you to donate. You are right about it has to be a certain length, too.
You are a brave woman to trust your hair with your husband! However, I cut my own....sort of. I just cut my husband's hair yesterday. I have a whole new respect for hair dressers.
I cut my husband's with a clipper, mine with scissors, except I did go back after that day and recut the back underneath with clippers. I have always cut his, his moms, my moms, his sister, my son & grandsons occasionally. Guys I use clippers, though.
I bet your husband is glad he doesn't have to go or pay a barber.
Gosh dear, I am impressed at your efforts. I note you show us the amount removed but not the finished result😂😂. Currently my hair hadn’t been cut since September, my fringe is no more and I urgently need to have a photo taken for a new driving licence. Will be interesting if it’s checked on after I get a cut
Ok but as I told ldonnahawkins below, picture comes with a warning, no makeup.-lol
Oh My Goodness, Toogie. I wonder if hubby would do that to mine. I have not had my hair cut, and have not done any color to it, but my hair is nearly to my waist now. I had it cut and done for grandson's wedding 3 years ago, and kept it at shoulder length - but with everything going on have not had anything done the past year or better. You are one brave woman.
Oh I did this, not him. I will have to post before and after I took that day but I warn you, no make up.
Husband has just been cutting it straight across the bottom since March. I didn't like the all one length. It was too flat and heavy for me so I cut all this!
